About The Position

Warehouse Assistant Manager -Hermitage, PA Job Overview: The Warehouse Assistant Manager is an active supervisor involved in the daily operations of the production team, serving as support to the Warehouse Manager. This role is responsible for the day-to-day supervision and productivity of the production line, supporting team members with technical issues, and providing hands-on assistance to complete job assignments within required time frames. You will supervise all activities of the shift, which often involves holding the team accountable for meeting performance goals, expediting the receiving and shipping of goods, and ensuring efficient, organized storage. By streamlining production activities, this role helps drive overall profitability and customer satisfaction in collaboration with the direction of the Warehouse Manager.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1+ years of warehouse or production experience in an assembly environment.
  • Experience implementing and developing Continuous Improvement Practices/ to improve efficiencies, reduce waste, and down times.
  • Excellent communication skills engaging with department team and upper management personnel.
  • Strong team building, mentoring, and team member training skills.
  • Excellent decision maker, especially in production issues, with the ability to make quick changes on the spot with minimal direction given by the Warehouse Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise personnel on the shift to meet daily goals for the production team.
  • Help ensure the warehouse meets weekly capacity, scheduling, and delivery requirements.
  • Manage people and processes, and assist the team with packing, unloading, and ordering product.
  • Work closely with the Warehouse Manager to identify and drive operational metrics aligned with strategic initiatives.
  • Minimize costs wherever possible and ensure that Best Work Practices are maintained.
  • Lead, coach, and enforce high performance and quality on the production line.
  • In collaboration with the Warehouse Manager, adjusts production flow as needed based on productivity needs to deliver results in a timely manner.
  • Identify damage on returned or inbound deliveries units and communicate to the Warehouse Manager for timely scheduled repairs.
  • Report regularly on production status to the Warehouse Manager throughout the day and adjust as needed to meet daily delivery goals.
