Warehouse and Yard Specialist
About The Position
The Warehouse/Yard Specialist is responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of the shop by ensuring efficient handling, storage, and movement of materials, equipment, and inventory. This role involves a variety of tasks including receiving, stocking, shipping, loading/unloading freight, driving a shop truck, detailing trucks, maintaining a clean and organized warehouse and yard, operating equipment, assisting customers, securing loads, organizing inventory, and performing janitorial tasks. The position requires the ability to work independently, knowledge of basic office and company software, good communication and organizational skills, a valid driver's license, forklift and telehandler experience, and the ability to lift heavy objects and work in outdoor conditions. A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
Requirements
- Ability to work alone with minimal or no supervision
- Working knowledge of basic office software (such as Microsoft Office)
- Working knowledge of company software and procedures
- Great attitude and ability to work with others
- Good communication skills, written and verbal
- Attention to detail and good organizational skills
- Valid driver's license
- Forklift and telehandler experience (certification preferred)
- Ability to lift heavy objects and work in outdoor conditions
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen (including THC/marijuana), physical, and background check.
- Must have a current drivers license to move our vehicles.
- Must be able to work 7am-5pm shifts Monday through Friday and 7am-11am shifts two Saturdays a month.

Responsibilities
- Receive, stock, and ship incoming/outgoing orders
- Load and unload freight using a forklift or telehandler
- Drive shop truck to deliver parts and supplies to customers
- Detail completed trucks as part of post-service preparation
- Keep the warehouse and yard clean, tidy, and well-organized
- Use forklift, Pettibone, or other equipment to transfer materials and machinery
- Operate facility equipment as necessary for daily operations
- Assist customers with loading and unloading freight
- Secure loads for safe transport
- Organize and track inventory and shop equipment
- Janitorial tasks in the shop, restrooms, and breakrooms such as emptying trash and scrap bins
- Other duties as assigned to meet the ongoing needs of the organization
