JOB SUMMARY: The Warehouse & Inventory Manager is responsible for leading day-to-day warehouse operations, including inbound and outbound logistics, material handling, inventory control, and overall warehouse flow across raw materials, packaging components, work-in-process (WIP), and finished goods within a GMP-regulated manufacturing environment. This role ensures accurate receiving, storage, movement, and system tracking of materials to support production flow and on-time shipping and receiving. This position owns both the physical warehouse operation and inventory accuracy, ensuring materials are where they need to be, when they need to be there, to keep production and fulfillment running smoothly. The Warehouse & Inventory Manager is accountable for execution across the full warehouse lifecycle—from raw material intake through internal movement and finished goods distribution—while quickly identifying and resolving operational gaps. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for a team of approximately 50 employees, including front-line supervisors. Success in this role requires strong floor presence, active engagement in daily operations, development of supervisors, and driving accountability across the team. The manager will build and reinforce processes, elevate performance, and ensure consistent execution across all warehouse and inventory functions. This role operates within a high-growth, startup-like manufacturing environment at the new Mesa facility, requiring a high level of ownership, flexibility, and willingness to roll up your sleeves. During the initial ramp-up phase, extended hours will be required, including 10+ hour days and weekend support as needed, to ensure production continuity, team development, and operational readiness. As operations stabilize, the schedule is expected to transition to more consistent standard hours, typically 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, Monday through Friday. However, flexibility is required, and extended hours may be necessary during peak production periods or seasonal demand fluctuations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, or related field preferred (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
  • 7–10+ years of progressive experience in warehouse operations, inventory control, and/or supply chain within a manufacturing environment
  • Proven experience managing both warehouse operations and inventory control functions in a high-volume setting
  • Demonstrated leadership experience managing through front-line supervisors and leading teams of 30+ employees
  • Experience in cosmetics, skincare, cosmeceutical, pharmaceutical, or other GMP-regulated environments strongly preferred
  • Strong working knowledge of ERP/WMS systems and inventory management best practices
  • Deep understanding of material flow, lot tracking, traceability, FIFO/FEFO, and inventory control/compliance requirements
  • Experience supporting end-to-end operations from raw material receipt through production support to finished goods distribution
  • Proven ability to build processes, develop teams, and drive accountability in a hands-on, fast-paced environment
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve operational issues quickly
  • High level of ownership with a willingness to maintain a consistent presence on the warehouse floor
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-growth manufacturing environment with evolving processes and priorities
  • Willingness and ability to work extended hours, including evenings and weekends, during the initial startup and ramp-up phase of the facility, with a transition to more standard business hours as operations stabilize

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end warehouse operations, including receiving, put-away, storage, picking, staging, shipping, and distribution

  • Oversee fulfillment and shipping/receiving activities to ensure timely, accurate order processing and material movement
  • Ensure efficient material flow from inbound raw materials through production staging to finished goods shipment
  • Optimize warehouse layout, space utilization, and material flow to improve efficiency and throughput
  • Maintain a strong floor presence to monitor operations, remove bottlenecks, and drive execution standards
  • Own and maintain inventory accuracy across raw materials, packaging, WIP, and finished goods
  • Ensure all inventory transactions (receipts, transfers, consumption, adjustments) are accurate and timely within ERP/WMS systems (Great Plains/SalesPad)
  • Investigate discrepancies, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions
  • Maintain real-time inventory visibility to support production, shipping, and fulfillment needs
  • Develop and manage cycle count programs to sustain high levels of inventory accuracy, following internal SOPs
  • Lead physical inventory counts and periodic full inventory audits
  • Partner with Finance and Quality to ensure accurate reconciliation and reporting
  • Maintain audit-ready documentation aligned with GMP and internal controls
  • Partner with Production to ensure timely material staging and issuance for compounding, filling, and manufacturing

  • Support consistent end-to-end material flow from raw materials through WIP to finished goods and distribution
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain and Purchasing to align inventory levels with demand forecasts and production schedules
  • Monitor inventory to prevent stockouts, overstock, and obsolescence
  • Partner with Fulfillment and Customer Experience teams to ensure order accuracy, SLA adherence, and delivery performance
  • Support new product introductions through accurate setup, storage, and tracking of new SKUs
  • Own and continuously improve inventory and warehouse processes within ERP/WMS systems
  • Develop and track KPIs such as inventory accuracy, shrinkage, order accuracy, on-time shipping, inventory turns, and aging
  • Provide reporting and actionable insights to support decision-making across Operations, Supply Chain, and Finance
  • Support system implementations, upgrades, and process improvements
