Warehouse and Delivery Associate (Temporary position)
About The Position
Tollefson's Retail Group is seeking a Temporary Full-Time Warehouse and Delivery Associate for their Slumberland location in Baxter, MN. This position reports directly to the Store Manager. The role involves assisting with customer deliveries, safe operation of delivery trucks, moving materials within the warehouse and showroom, and performing building and grounds maintenance. The associate is a key member of the team, contributing to the presentation of the showroom and warehouse, and providing excellent customer service during deliveries. This position is scheduled for weekend shifts.
Requirements
- Valid and insurable driver's license is required, if driving.
- Pre-employment drug testing required, including cannabis.
- Ability to frequently lift and move 75+ pounds.
- Must be approved for a DOT Medical Certificate to operate store trucks.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma/GED preferred.
- Previous warehouse or delivery experience preferred, but not required.
Responsibilities
- Assist with deliveries to customer locations.
- Safe operation of the delivery truck, including daily inspections and tracking of fluids and mileage.
- Move materials from receiving areas to designated areas, including the showroom.
- Ensure proper handling and operations for manual lifts and power equipment to ensure safety.
- Assist with building and grounds maintenance.
