About The Position

The Warehouse Manager, 3PL Site Operations is based at Solenis' largest 3PL distribution center and is responsible for driving operational excellence across a network of third-party logistics (3PL) warehouse locations. This role leads a team of Warehouse Liaisons, both company employees and contractors, who provide on-site oversight and support execution of warehouse operations, service commitments, inventory control, safety, and compliance standards. This is a highly visible leadership role that combines hands-on operational management at the home site with broader responsibility for performance across multiple distribution locations. The Warehouse Manager is accountable for ensuring consistent execution, driving service and inventory performance, developing a high-performing team, and strengthening partnerships with 3PL providers. The successful candidate will be a strong operational leader who can balance day-to-day execution with strategic thinking, influence performance across a distributed network, and drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance safety, service, productivity, and customer satisfaction. This role reports to the 3PL Network Operations Manager and partners closely with 3PL site leadership, Plant Operations, Planning, Customer Service, Procurement, Transportation, and Inventory Control teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Operations Management, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
  • 7+ years of progressive warehouse, distribution center, logistics, or supply chain operations leadership experience.
  • Experience managing warehouse operations, 3PL providers, multi-site operations, or geographically distributed teams.
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP systems (SAP preferred), inventory management, and warehouse KPIs.
  • Demonstrated success leading both direct employees and contract personnel.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to travel approximately 25–40% to support warehouse operations, strategic projects, site launches, and integration activities.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop a distributed team of Warehouse Liaisons supporting multiple 3PL warehouse locations.
  • Recruit, onboard, train, and mentor team members while establishing clear expectations and performance standards.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews, coaching discussions, and development planning.
  • Build organizational capability through cross-training, succession planning, and coverage strategies.
  • Ensure completion of all required company, operational, and safety training.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, operational excellence, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
  • Provide operational oversight of 3PL warehouse performance across receiving, put-away, inventory management, order fulfillment, staging, and shipping activities.
  • Serve as the primary point of accountability for operational performance delivered through the liaison team and 3PL partners.
  • Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly performance against established service levels and KPIs.
  • Lead efforts to identify, escalate, and resolve operational issues, including inventory discrepancies, shipping errors, staffing challenges, and capacity constraints.
  • Partner with 3PL leadership to drive corrective actions and improve operational performance.
  • Escalate systemic service, capacity, compliance, or performance concerns with recommended corrective actions and root cause analysis.
  • Champion a culture of safety across all supported locations and ensure compliance with Solenis standards, OSHA requirements, and site-specific safety procedures.
  • Ensure consistent execution of enterprise SOPs for inbound, outbound, inventory management, cycle counting, damaged goods handling, and compliance-related processes.
  • Identify process gaps and drive corrective actions to improve consistency and execution across the network.
  • Support onboarding and training of new team members and 3PL partners on SOPs, KPIs, and operational expectations.
  • Own KPI tracking, analysis, and reporting across the network of supported sites.
  • Partner with Supply Chain Analytics resources to develop and maintain standardized dashboards and reporting tools.
  • Support Monthly Business Reviews (MBRs) and Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) with data-driven performance insights and recommendations.
  • Lead root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective and preventive action (CAPA) activities to address service, compliance, inventory, and operational issues.
  • Identify trends, risks, and opportunities and provide actionable recommendations to network leadership.
  • Support inventory accuracy through cycle count execution, reconciliation, and inventory control processes.
  • Partner with Inventory Control and Planning teams to resolve discrepancies and improve inventory health.
  • Support initiatives to reduce slow-moving and obsolete inventory (SLOB).
  • Provide operational input for labor planning, space utilization, peak-season readiness, and overflow management.
  • Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, service, inventory accuracy, productivity, and cost reduction.
  • Share best practices and standardize successful processes across the network.
  • Support SPRINT initiatives and other strategic projects that improve operational capabilities and business performance.
  • Drive sustainable improvements through data analysis, structured problem solving, and process optimization.
  • Serve as the primary communication link between field operations and network leadership.
  • Partner with Plant Operations, Planning, Customer Service, Procurement, and Transportation teams to prevent and resolve service disruptions.
  • Provide operational expertise and performance insights during reviews with 3PL providers.
  • Support Procurement and Finance with operational input related to vendor performance, scope discussions, and business planning.
  • Support new 3PL site onboarding, warehouse transitions, system implementations, and process rollouts.
  • Deploy liaison resources to support site launches, peak-season operations, corrective action plans, and strategic business initiatives.
  • Participate in M&A integration activities and network optimization projects as needed.
