POSITION SUMMARY Enter data from source documents into the computer. Examine contents of delivery vehicles and compare with records. Work in both an office and shop/yard environment. Pull and Stock Material. Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING: Because Eastern Shipbuilding is continually growing to meet the needs of our customers, the essential duties and responsibilities may be different than described. Regular attendance at work and the ability to work flexible hours, including overtime, weekends, and holidays. Organize and maintain file system and file correspondence/documents as required. Enter, update, and verify data from source documents into computer using keyboard or scanning device. Compile, sort and verify accuracy of data to be entered; compare data entered with source documents. Work outside the office environment as needed verifying and managing the delivery of material. Document shipment data, such as material received, damages, and discrepancies. Have working knowledge of tools used in the shipbuilding industry. Have working knowledge of tool loan out & return processes. Have a working knowledge of the Payroll Deduction process for tool room sale items. Have experience in the use of Warehouse Forklifts (All Terrain, Standard & Tandem) Have working knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook Create back up files for all data. Perform additional duties as assigned. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
