About The Position

This position is located at Anson Correctional Institution, Polkton, NC in Anson County. This facility houses female offenders in close and medium custody housing units and male offenders in a minimum custody unit. The facility offers a wide variety of educational, vocational, and training programs for men and women. Correction Enterprises operates the offender packaging operation at Anson, a partnership with Union Supply Direct through the Prison Industry Enhancement Program (PIE). Family and friends can order a package of goods from a pre-approved shopping list to send to an offender. Orders are packaged by offenders and shipped quarterly. Responsible for administering established policies and procedures for the daily operation of a medium/close custody correctional facility, which includes: Custody Programs Food service Administration (human resources and fiscal) Maintenance Responsible for the overall planning, directing, and management of these services as well as overseeing the management of the offender population at Anson Correctional Institution Sets goals and priorities for each component within the prison and makes modifications as needed May develop internal policies and guidelines Directly involved with hiring, disciplining, coaching and training employees This position reports directly to the Central Region Director.

Requirements

Meet Criminal Justice Standards requirements (12 NCAC 09G .0302)
Pass a criminal background check
Produce a negative drug screening result
Successfully complete medical and psychological evaluations
Possess a valid driver’s license.
Bachelor’s degree from an appropriately accredited institution and four years of supervisory, administrative, or consultative experience in corrections or related work, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must be eligible for certification by the North Carolina Criminal Justice Education & Training Standards Commission.
