About The Position

Mater is currently seeking applications for Ward Services Assistants to work within our housekeeping/orderly department on a casual basis. These roles will be based at our Mater Hospital Springfield campus. Full availability is essential in these roles. You will be required to work across a roster spanning Monday to Sunday (inclusive), between the hours of 6am through to 6am, completing 8-hour shifts on a 7-day rotating roster. Actual hours will be discussed at interview.

Requirements

• Significant experience in Ward/Orderly or previous hospital ward roles
• Comfortable with manual handling/lifting
• Flexibility in approach
• Willingness to contribute to the overall success of MPHS
• Eager contributor who can prioritise and organise personal workload, whilst assisting team to achieve goals
• Effective communicator with a friendly and approachable demeanour

Responsibilities

• Assisting our Loading Dock with cleaning
• Upholding exemplary hygiene standards by providing a high level of care to our patients
• Working in a variety of areas, including Waste Services, Linen Services, Equipment Delivery/Collection/Orderly/Porterage Services.
