About The Position
The Strategic Data Solutions (SDS) team is seeking an experienced and results-oriented Analytics Manager to lead a team focused on combating fraud, waste, and abuse in our fast-paced Wallet, Payments, and Commerce environment. This role will be responsible for guiding a team of Technical Fraud Analysts in developing and implementing analytical/tactical solutions to detect, prevent, and mitigate fraudulent activities across multiple programs. As a Wallet TFA Manager, you will be responsible for fostering a culture of data-driven decision-making, developing career paths and skills within the team, developing strong relationships across the organization, and driving continuous improvement in our fraud prevention strategies. You navigate ambiguity and uncertainty comfortably, making decisions based on information that may be incomplete at times, and demonstrating an uncanny sense of when to hold course vs shift directions for the team. In this role, you'll combine technical/analytical knowledge and fraud mitigation skills within the Wallet business to help the team approach fraud mitigation in a new and exciting way that enables us to scale with success.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Math, Engineering, a related field, or relevant experience
- 7+ years of hands-on experience in data science, analytics engineering, or similar technical analytics roles
- 2+ years of experience leading and mentoring data-focused teams
- Proficiency in SQL and at least one programming language (e.g., Python, R)
- Passion for fostering inclusive team environments and valuing diverse perspectives
- Strong analytical background in applying data science techniques, such as experimental design and statistical analysis, to extract insights and answer real-world questions
- Experience working with large-scale data pipelines and conducting data analysis in production-level analytics platforms
- Proven ability to drive measurable business impact through data and automation
- Ability to connect insights to business outcomes and influence strategy

- Expertise in data storytelling and creating stakeholder-ready visualizations and narratives
- Ability to perform in both strategic and tactical situations, and shift between them as defined by the needs of the role
- Familiarity with modern data platforms (e.g., Spark, Snowflake, Airflow) and ML ops tooling
- Clear communicator who can translate complex technical concepts into actionable business language
Responsibilities
- Leads team in the development of analytical tools and automations to support functional needs.
- Collaborate with and support the team to innovate, encouraging experimentation and growth
- Mentor the team to develop their technical and professional skillsets considering both the individual’s wants and business needs
- Drive personal innovation projects to improve the team’s and/or program’s efficiency
- Functionally manage TFA work
- Develop and implement TFA KPIs and drive prioritization ensuring metrics are in line with program targets
- Project Manage team initiatives as needed
- Engage with internal and external partners to understand program needs and create solutions on combined challenges
