About The Position

CRB is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented, and collaborative professional to serve as a Walkdown / Turnover Lead. This role works closely with the Construction, CQV, and Quality teams to support field walkdowns on active construction sites and drive multi-discipline systems through mechanical completion and turnover to the client. The Walkdown / Turnover Lead plays a hands-on role in verifying system readiness by reviewing documentation, performing field verification, identifying and driving closure of punch list items, and confirming completion of required pre-commissioning activities. This position requires strong personal ownership and integrity, with the judgement and fortitude to uphold safety, quality, and regulatory requirements while working under aggressive schedules, as well as the ability to work effectively and ethically alongside field teams, subcontractors, and clients to resolve issues and maintain project momentum. The ideal candidate is a team-oriented self-starter who demonstrates honesty and accountability in their work, takes pride in quality, communicates proactively, and is willing to step in and do what it takes to help the team meet aggressive project milestones.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of Construction Turnover and/or Startup experience in Advanced Manufacturing, Biotechnology, or Capital Projects or Commissioning, Qualification, Validation and Compliance experience in the Life Sciences with an emphasis on IV/OV;
  • Strong technical knowledge of both US and global regulatory requirements and cGMP standards
  • Experience leading system-based walkdowns with sub-contractors and clients, including punch list development and closure
  • Solid understanding of system scoping and construction turnover processes
  • Strong ability to read and interpret construction drawings (P&IDs, AFIDs, line diagrams, panel layouts, isometrics, etc.)
  • Ability to work with construction 3D models
  • Demonstrated leadership, collaboration, and communication skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively across multiple disciplines and organizational levels
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and presentation skills
  • Commitment to the highest standards of technical excellence and quality, with a focus on creating world-class experiences for clients and employees
  • Willingness to take initiative, work in a fast-paced field environment, and support team success to meet project milestones
  • OSHA 10 certification or willingness to obtain
  • Ability and willingness to be onsite for the duration of the project

Nice To Haves

  • Review pressure testing documentation for completeness and code compliance (knowledge of ASME B31 code and/or ASHRAE Standards preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Lead and participate in walkdowns across all phases of construction, including pre-mechanical, mechanical, and substantial completion, while acting professionally in a client-facing role
  • Take ownership of assigned systems, actively driving issue resolution and ensuring readiness for CQV execution and client handover
  • Prioritize/manage walkdown schedules to support system availability and CQV protocol execution
  • Collaborate closely with field Quality personnel and subcontractors to confirm compliance with testing and documentation requirements
  • Identify, track, and drive closure of punch list items using the ACC digital platform to ensure subcontractor work meets design and quality expectations
  • Execute and verify pre-commissioning / installation checklists to ensure systems are safe and ready for operational testing
  • Assist with construction turnover package assembly, review, and verification
  • Create drawing redlines as needed to accurately reflect as-built system conditions
  • Review pressure testing documentation for completeness and code compliance (knowledge of ASME B31 code and/or ASHRAE Standards preferred)
  • Act as liaison between Construction and CQV teams, including attending and facilitating meetings to support system turnover sequencing and handover of custody to the client.
  • Communicate clearly and proactively with Construction, CQV, Quality, subcontractors, and design teams to surface risks early and support timely issue resolution
  • Foster a collaborative, respectful, team environment and support overall project success by willingly assisting beyond assigned responsibilities when needed
