About The Position

The Walk-In Crisis Worker provides in-person and phone-based assessment, intervention, and support for individuals experiencing psychiatric emergencies, including adults, children, and adolescents. As part of a multidisciplinary crisis team, this role conducts evaluations, coordinates care, engages support systems, and connects clients with appropriate community resources. This full-time position requires the ability to work in high-stress, fast-paced environments, maintain safety protocols, complete clinical documentation, and collaborate with internal teams and external resources. A valid driver's license and willingness to travel locally are required.

Requirements

Master's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Rehabilitation, Activity Therapies, Counseling, Education, or related fields and 3 years of Mental Health direct care experience.
Bachelor's Degree in Sociology, Social Work, Psychology, Gerontology, Anthropology, Political Science, History, Criminal Justice, Theology, Counseling, Education or a related field, or be a Registered Nurse, and 5 years of Mental Health direct care experience, 2 of which shall include supervisory experience.
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing and 3 years of Mental Health direct care experience.
Registered Nurse license, certified in Psychology or Psychiatry.
Valid PA Driver's License.
Working knowledge of the philosophy, concepts, mandates and operations of community health services and other human services agencies.
Knowledge of Crisis Intervention techniques.
Proficient in writing and verbal communication skills.
