About The Position

This is a part-time Waitstaff position with various available shifts throughout the week. The role involves taking food and beverage orders, delivering items to guests, and ensuring a positive dining experience. You will be responsible for understanding menu items, communicating with kitchen staff, addressing guest concerns, and maintaining the cleanliness and setup of the dining area. Collaboration with other departments for special events is also expected.

Requirements

• Previous experience in the food services industry.
• Valid Food Handler Certificate or provincial equivalent.
• Exceptional communication skills.
• Ability to get along well with others.
• Physically able to lift and transfer heavy, hot items.
• Physically able to stand/walk for the majority of the shift.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and take food and beverage orders efficiently, following established steps of service.
• Deliver food promptly and professionally, maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards.
• Follow up with guests to assist with any additional needs or requests.
• Demonstrate complete understanding of menu items and ingredients, advising guests on combinations and accommodating requests.
• Communicate directly with back-of-the-house staff to ensure accurate order delivery and special request accommodation.
• Promptly address complaints or issues, relaying relevant information to a supervisor.
• Ensure the dining room is properly set up before and after service periods, keeping the area clean and neat.
• Work with staff from other departments during special events and functions.
