About The Position

This position is dedicated to delivering an elevated, fine dining experience through precision, anticipation, and refined service execution. The Server is responsible for creating a seamless and memorable guest experience. The Server will ensure the highest standard of guest service, reflecting professionalism, attention to detail, guest awareness, ensuring each interaction is intentional and polished, exceeds expectations. Collaboration with support staff is essential to maintain flow and consistency throughout dining experience.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age, as required by law
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Previous work experience within an upscale high-volume establishment required
  • Knowledge of fine dining and good knowledge of wines/beverages
  • Previous fine dining restaurant experience
  • Understanding of full-service environment
  • Experience working in a hospitality role is required.
  • Execute full sequence of service with precision, including proper pacing, coursing and table maintenance.
  • Anticipate guest needs without interruption, read the table and adjust service style accordingly.
  • Maintain constant awareness of table progression to ensure seamless transitions between courses.
  • Use proper verbiage, posture, and presence reflective of a fine dining professional environment.
  • Deliver detail menu descriptions including ingredients, preparation methods and flavor profiles with confidence.
  • Providing thoughtful experience driven recommendations tailored to guest preferences.
  • Ensure all food and beverages are presented as described and placed according to service standards.
  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of wine service, including presentation, opening and proper pour techniques.
  • Uphold an elevated level of table awareness.
  • Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with staff; ability to handle cash and accurately make change.
  • Must be able to understand and comply with all departmental and Company rules, regulations, Policies and procedures.
  • A fine dining Server must be able to handle difficulties with customers and staff alike.
  • This position is responsible for keeping multiple details organized.
  • Servers need an excellent memory and good organizational skills, ensuring that customers get the correct orders, and helps other staff members when able.
  • Must have excellent interpersonal skills and a team player attitude with the ability and willingness to learn new concepts and ideas.
  • Must have the ability to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.
  • Must be able to pass a background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employment.

Responsibilities

  • Report for duty punctually, in full uniform according to appearance and grooming standards.
  • Promote and maintain a positive working relationship at all times with all the Colleagues.
  • Demonstrate a complete understanding of all policies, procedures and standards stated in Employee Handbook.
  • Consistently offer professional, friendly and warm hospitality to all guests.
  • Consistently deliver refined, attentive, and intuitive service that always reflect fine dining standards.
  • Attend all required training sessions and be aware of any changes to menus, hotel and departmental policies and procedures, service standards as well as business trends and requirements.
  • Use empowerment to turn challenges into opportunities.
  • Demonstrate complete knowledge of all menus, including ingredients, sourcing, preparation techniques, flavor profiles and to confidently guide guests through a curated dining experience.
  • Articulate all menu offerings with clarity and confidence, elevating the guest experience through informed recommendations. Includes all food menus, beverage menus, and any upcoming events.
  • Be aware of all cashiering procedures and the handling of all payment methods.
  • Understand and follow Micros procedures.
  • Lead and guide the Server Assistant ensuring efficient and effective teamwork.
  • Communicate all service requirements to the respective team members in an efficient and effective way.
  • Ensure that all work areas and stations are kept clean and tidy at all times.
  • Maintain station organization and dining room presentation, ensuring every detail reflects the cleanliness standard of a fine dining establishment.
  • Perform all opening, side and closing duties as well as all daily and weekly duties to the set standards as outlined.
  • Attend pre-shift, weekly and monthly meetings to be well-informed.
  • Assist all guests (internal and external) with any enquiries or requests in a pleasant, helpful manner.
  • Actively participate in and follow all health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Carrying out any miscellaneous duties and responsibilities as requested by your Manager pertaining to total quality service.
  • Understand and abide by environmental practices of the resort.
