About The Position

Morrison Living is hiring immediately for part-time Waiter/Waitress positions. This role involves taking food and beverage orders and efficiently delivering items to dining room guests. You will greet guests warmly, take orders efficiently, deliver food professionally, and maintain safe food handling and sanitation standards. The position requires demonstrating complete understanding of menu items, advising guests on combinations, accommodating requests, and communicating effectively with back-of-the-house staff. You will also be responsible for cash-handling procedures, maintaining a clean and safe environment, addressing guest complaints, setting up and cleaning the dining room, operating various equipment, and collaborating with other departments for special events.

Requirements

• Prior customer service experience preferred.
• Exceptional communication skills.
• Ability to get along well with others.
• Flexibility and patience when communicating with guests and staff.
• Ability to perform essential functions of the position satisfactorily with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly in the dining room and take food and beverage orders efficiently.
• Deliver food promptly and professionally, maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards.
• Follow up with guests to assist with any additional needs or requests.
• Demonstrate complete understanding of menu items and ingredients.
• Advise guests on appropriate food and drink combinations and accommodate reasonable requests.
• Communicate directly with back-of-the-house staff to ensure correct order delivery and special requests.
• Collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures.
• Promote a clean, safe, and neat environment for guests.
• Address complaints or issues promptly and relay relevant information to a supervisor.
• Ensure the dining room is properly set up and clean according to sanitation standards.
• Operate a variety of equipment, including telephones, beverage machines, soup wells, and coffee machines.
• Work with staff from other departments during special events and functions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
