About The Position

This is a seasonal position for a Waiter/Waitress at Genesis House. The role involves taking food and beverage orders, delivering items to guests, and ensuring a positive dining experience. Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and take food and beverage orders efficiently.
• Deliver food promptly and professionally, maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards.
• Follow up with guests to assist with any additional needs or requests.
• Demonstrate complete understanding of menu items and ingredients, advising guests and accommodating reasonable requests.
• Communicate with back-of-the-house staff to ensure correct order delivery and accommodation of special requests.
• Exhibit exceptional communication skills and ability to get along well with others, remaining flexible and patient.
• Collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures.
• Promote a clean, safe, and neat environment for guests.
• Maintain sensitivity and confidentiality regarding personal or medical information.
• Address complaints or issues promptly and relay relevant information to a supervisor.
• Ensure the dining room is properly set up and maintained according to sanitation standards.
• Operate various equipment, including fire extinguishers, telephones, beverage machines, soup wells, and coffee machines.
• Collaborate with staff from other departments for special events and functions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
