About The Position
The wait staff at Christian Care Retirement Community plays a crucial role in ensuring residents receive timely, nutritious meals in a pleasant dining environment. This position requires individuals who take pride in providing excellent customer service and have a positive, cheerful attitude. Our dining rooms offer a restaurant-like feel where our residents as well as their friends and family can order from the menu and dine while enjoying a wonderfully cooked meal. Christian Care Retirement Community is a non-profit, faith-based organization. We truly strive to give our residents the best quality and compassionate care that we can while instilling our Christian values. Our facility offers care for residents who are in different stages of their lives- including Assisted Living, Long-term and Short-term care- we provide daily opportunities for our team members to truly make a difference in someone's life.
Requirements
- Must be able to work every other weekend.
- Must be able to work every other holiday.
- Must have a positive, cheerful attitude.
- Employment is contingent based on a clear background check and a negative drug screen.

Responsibilities
- Responsible for all aspects of meal service from start to finish.
- Meticulously set dining tables with plates, utensils, napkins, condiments, and menus, creating an inviting atmosphere.
- Efficiently serve hot food items in the proper portions onto residents' plates.
- Patiently assist any residents who need help cutting food or require special dietary accommodations.
- Prepare and serve beverages like coffee, tea, water and juice.
- Continually check on residents to promptly fulfill any additional requests.
- Carry dishes to the kitchen, scrape and stack plates, load dishwashers, wash any dishes by hand, and sanitize counters.
- Properly record dishwasher temperatures.
- Neatly reset tables, sweep floors, take out garbage, and deliver any soiled linens to the laundry facility.
