About The Position

This is a part-time position responsible for taking meal orders and serving assisted living residents during evening service. The role involves ensuring resident satisfaction through attentive service and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and sanitation.

Requirements

Must be able to maintain high standards of cleanliness and follow rules and regulations of sanitation.
Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions.
Willing to attend all inservice training sessions.
Willing to learn and interested in upgrading the food service department.
Must be able to work weekends to fill in when there is a shift shortage.
Must be able to take initiative to see things that need to be done and do them (e.g., cleaning and helping other staff members).
Happy disposition, quick to respond to requests.

Responsibilities

Take meal orders and serve assisted living residents during evening service.
Bring waters, introduce yourself, and offer drinks and coffee to residents.
Inform residents about the daily special and confirm their food orders.
Communicate food orders to the cook.
Prepare desserts while orders are being filled.
Refill drinks and clear away dishes.
Serve food orders and provide drink refills.
Clear dishes and reset tables.
Prepare food items such as citrus fruit, cottage cheese, applesauce, condiments, and salad dressings.
Operate the dish machine to clean dishes.
Ensure all dishes and the work area are cleaned before leaving.
Clean the walk-in cooler.
Store dishes clean, dry, and in their proper places.
Ensure all food preparation is ready for the next shift.
