About The Position

Don Juan's Cocina is seeking a Wait Person/Server to join their team. This role is fundamental to the business's operation, requiring regular and reliable attendance, punctuality, and consistent presence during scheduled work hours. The server will be responsible for maintaining a clean work environment, fostering positive relationships with guests and employees, and ensuring guest satisfaction through accurate order taking, prompt service, and excellent customer service. The position also involves answering guest questions about the menu and restaurant, following security protocols, and maintaining awareness of restaurant operations. Adherence to the Colorado Limited Gaming Act, internal policies, safety, and health standards is also required.

Requirements

Demonstrated hands-on hospitality, hosting, or serving experience, preferably within a gaming environment.
Demonstrated experience performing within specific deadlines or under pressure.
Demonstrated experience in problem-solving, organizing, and prioritizing work.
Graduation from high school or equivalent.
One (1) or more years of recent and related experience.
Successful completion of Bloodborne Pathogens and hazardous material training.
Excellent customer service skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Maintains a clean work environment, including clearing and sanitizing tables.
Takes customer orders accurately and serves food and beverages promptly.
Regularly checks up on customers to ensure satisfaction, offering refills and retrieving condiments as needed.
Delivers excellent customer service, making guests feel welcome and encouraging return visits.
Answers guest questions regarding menu options or general information about Baja Billy’s.
Follows established security protocols to ensure a safe restaurant work environment.
Maintains alertness and general awareness of restaurant operations, keeping the supervisor informed of any concerns.
Performs duties in compliance with the Colorado Limited Gaming Act, internal policies and procedures, safety standards, and health standards.
Performs other duties, including special projects, as needed and directed.
