This position will lead an operations team at Wolfspeed’s state of the art, highly automated, Mohawk Valley Wafer Fab in New York. The Production Manager oversees each aspect of the production process; trains and supports staff and provides vital information on production goals. Your leadership will set the tone for the team’s success. Finally, Safety for your team and product are a vital responsibility. This position will work a 12-hour day shift with a "3on-4off-4on-3off" alternating schedule. Schedule will be Back End Nights: Wednesday – Friday and every other Saturday, 6pm - 6:15am.

Requirements

  • Associate degree or higher in related field
  • Passion to inspire and develop employees while working in a dynamic, fast-paced semiconductor manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to handle change quickly and efficiently – Fast paced work environment

Nice To Haves

  • Manufacturing experience with 1-2+ years in a leadership role, preferred manufacturing experience as a front-line supervisor (3-5 years) or relevant military experience

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a safe working environment for all employees
  • Maintain leadership presence by spending at least 80% of your time interacting on the fab floor
  • Monitor team and individual performance.
  • Evaluate and improve productivity, equipment utilization and overall efficiency
  • Support 5S activities across the entire fab
  • Establish and communicate production priorities. Track performance and adjust priorities accordingly
  • Initiate, encourage, and drive continuous improvement efforts
  • Provide team with constructive and timely feedback.
  • Enforce company and local policies and procedures.
  • Maintain positive working relationships with all levels in the organization.
