About The Position

We are seeking Vulnerability Systems Engineers (Level I & II) to support cybersecurity, endpoint computing, and core infrastructure teams within a public-sector IT environment. These roles focus on identifying, prioritizing, and remediating system vulnerabilities across enterprise systems, particularly within Microsoft environments. Candidates will collaborate with cybersecurity teams to strengthen system security posture through vulnerability analysis, remediation planning, automation, and deployment of secure configurations.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and vulnerability management
  • Familiarity with networking, databases, virtualization, and system operations
  • Experience assessing and prioritizing vulnerabilities based on risk
  • Experience with endpoint management tools (e.g., MECM, Intune, Workspace ONE)
  • Basic scripting knowledge (PowerShell, VBScript, or batch scripting)
  • Understanding of cloud security fundamentals (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud)
  • Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field plus 2 years of experience, OR Equivalent combination of education and experience (approx. 6 years total) for SE I
  • Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field plus 4 years of experience, OR Equivalent combination of education and experience (approx. 8 years total) for SE II
  • Strong knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and vulnerability management
  • Experience with infrastructure systems (networking, databases, virtualization)
  • Hands-on experience with endpoint management tools (MECM, Intune, etc.)
  • Proficiency in scripting (PowerShell, VBScript, batch)
  • Experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, and Microsoft Entra
  • Knowledge of cloud security architectures (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills are essential

Responsibilities

  • Identify, review, and track vulnerabilities using vulnerability management tools
  • Research and recommend remediation configurations for identified vulnerabilities
  • Develop and maintain dashboards to track remediation progress
  • Assist in creating scripts, automations, and deployment packages
  • Support endpoint and infrastructure security initiatives
  • Collaborate with engineering and cybersecurity teams
  • Manage and remediate vulnerabilities using enterprise tools
  • Develop and deploy scripts, automations, and installation packages
  • Create and manage Active Directory Group Policies (GPOs)
  • Support remediation deployments and troubleshoot existing solutions
  • Collaborate on change management and communication processes
  • Assist in researching and validating remediation strategies
