About The Position

Peraton requires VTC Technicians to support the Special Operation Command Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) – 3. This role is in Little Creek, VA. The purpose of the Special Operations Forces Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) 3 Enterprise Operations and Maintenance (EOM) Task Order (TO) is to provide USSOCOM, its Component Commands, its Theater Special Operations Commands (TSOCs), and its deployed forces with Operations and Maintenance (O&M) services to maintain Network Operations (NetOps); maintain systems and network infrastructure; provide end user and common device support; provide configuration, change, license, and asset management; conduct training, and perform Install, Move, Add, Change (IMACs) services. The responsibilities and tasks associated with each requirement play a pivotal role to USSOCOM, the CIO/J6 organization, and ultimately the end-user who operate around the globe 24x7x365. The AV/VTC Technician requires excellent problem-solving and customer service skills, as well as thorough knowledge of AV/VTC hardware, software and network connections. VTC schedulers must have expertise in scheduling VTC sessions in VTC bridges, hands-on experience with debugging the interoperation of VTC bridges and end points, as well as experience setting up, maintaining and troubleshooting AV equipment (displays, microphones, sound boards etc.).

Requirements

  • BS + 8 years of experience OR MS + 6 years of experience OR PHD with 3 years of experience OR HS with 12 years of experience OR AA with 10 years of experience
  • A DoD security clearance at the TS/SCI level is required.
  • 2 year experience supporting and troubleshooting VTCs in Government environnment, as well as troubleshooting and fixing VTC hardware and software (e.g., Cisco, Polycom, ViPers, and secure phones).
  • Ability to follow procedures under stressful conditions.
  • Ability to work closely with senior professionals.

Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, manage, maintain, operate, and defend common area VTC equipment, including day-to-day setup, scheduling, and monitoring
  • Schedule, coordinate, and administer multiple simultaneous VTC sessions
  • Provide dedicated support to VTCs attended by Very Important Persons (VIPs)
  • Recommend upgrades to VTC systems
  • Provide version control and provisioning via a Telepresence Management Suite (TMS) for VTC CODECs
  • Install flat panel displays, room based VTC endpoints, projectors, and A/V equipment
  • Resolve issues down to the equipment level (black box)
  • Manage, maintain, and post a daily MSL and shift change procedures
  • Schedule, configure, and connect users to DISA GVS and DVS conferences
  • Train designated personnel on the operation of VTC equipment
