This position will be based at a location within Vancouver, WA/Portland, OR Area for Oregon and SW Washington Regional Area. Travel within the territory will be required, as needed, based on project and training demands.

Requirements

  • 5 years technical experience with ductless and VRF.
  • Experience working directly with contractors, developers, or building owners, providing quotes, and following up on projects, required.
  • Excellent business leadership skills, ambitious self-initiative, ability to multi-task.
  • Organizational skills and the ability to work with fellow associates.
  • Computer savvy and ability to navigate common software (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PowerBI; etc.) and be proficient at using Web based applications.
  • Must have technical installation and technician background and experience.
  • Comfortable using factory design technology and systems.
  • Works well individually or in collaborative team environment.

Nice To Haves

  • VRF start up experience is a plus.
  • Installation management, service team management, consultive sales a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Assist sales team in conducting sales calls and customer visits and serve as the product subject matter authority.
  • Serve as the lead authority to educate fellow associates with commercial knowledge and application.
  • Spend 65%+ out in the field developing and progressing the commercial initiative.
  • Responsible for application, design and layout assistance related to commercial systems (multiple types).
  • Act as the subject matter authority on multi-family ductless and VRF systems.
  • Identify sales opportunities within the Design/Build Market, such as replacement of unitary and package equipment, “Value Engineering” projects, or projects that completely bypass the Plan and Spec channel.
  • Find sales opportunities through relationships with contractors, building owners, school systems, universities; Project leads identified by Ferguson sales representatives; Over the Counter sales, etc.
  • Complete site visits and project follow up during construction and start-up.
  • Generate and deliver all project documentation such as submittals and close out documents (i.e. operation and service manuals).
  • Responsible for technical install and service training- VRF, Ductless, Crossover, application training- VRF, Ductless.
  • Assist Ductless/VRF Ferguson Team, Territory Managers, Area Sales Managers and assist with pre and post job walks, design review, training, and startups when necessary for contractor projects.
  • Work hand in hand with local management to establish market pricing.
  • Liaison between our commercial quotation center and manager input, feedback and follow-up.
