About The Position

The State Pre-K Lead Teacher is responsible for all aspects of planning, assessing and instructing based on the needs of each child, and the requirements of the program. We want change makers who never stop being curious, inventive, and open-hearted to prepare children for Kindergarten and beyond. As a Lead Pre-K Teacher, you own the classroom and curriculum, mentor fellow Teachers, and ensure compliance with all licensing and program requirements. You will also build relationships with families to support child achievement and center success.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, Family Studies or related degree.
• Experience leading a classroom and creating educational lesson plans.
• Ability to meet state requirements for education and childcare center requirements.
• Ability to work indoors or outdoors and engage in physical activity with children.
• At least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Planning, assessing, and instructing based on the needs of each child and program requirements.
• Developing fun, interactive learning experiences.
• Mentoring fellow Teachers.
• Promoting the social, physical, and intellectual growth of preschool children.
• Classroom management and curriculum implementation.
• Ensuring compliance with all licensing guidelines, company standards, and Pre-K program requirements.
• Building sincere relationships with enrolled and prospective families to promote child achievement and support center success.
