About The Position
The VPK Lead Teacher guides preschool children through their final step before kindergarten, supporting confidence, curiosity, and school readiness in a community-focused early childhood education setting. The position delivers an engaging VPK curriculum and provides a safe, nurturing classroom environment that encourages academic and social-emotional growth. The role is part time and works Monday through Friday.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- CDA.
- Florida VPK Lead Teacher Credentials.

- Previous experience in a relevant field is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Deliver an engaging VPK curriculum that prepares children for kindergarten success.
- Use CLASS (Classroom Assessment Scoring System) practices to foster meaningful interactions.
- Plan and lead activities that promote academic and social-emotional growth.
- Ensure a safe, nurturing classroom environment with structured daily routines.
- Partner with families and mentor junior team members to support each child’s journey.
