Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and 5 years related experience required.
• Computer experience with a variety of applications including Excel and Word and network systems as well as sufficient technological knowledge to facilitate decision-making regarding the direction of the automation systems.
• Able to drive and travel as needed.
• In-depth knowledge of the insurance brokerage business.

Responsibilities

• Manage the investigation of insurance risk including approval or rejection of applications for insurance up to a fixed dollar limit of risk.
• Use rate books, tables, code books and other reference material to make underwriting determinations.
• Ensures compliance with all standards and objectives.
• Assist team in the resolution of underwriting problems.
• Work directly with Producers and/or Carrier Placements staff on regulatory compliance and industry standards within individual state laws and area(s) of coverage.
