About The Position

GIC is seeking an investment professional with a background in investing and/or market risk to join its in-business Risk Management function within the Fixed Income & Multi Asset (FIMA) Chief Investment Officer’s Office (CIOO). This role will provide risk coverage for global Corporate Credit products, including global bonds, loans, CLOs, and convertible bonds, across developed and emerging markets. The candidate will report to the FIMA CIOO Head of Risk and provide independent risk analysis and advice to the FIMA Head of Corporate Credit. The team employs a broad range of investment strategies including macro, credit, quantitative investing, multi-asset, benchmark-agnostic, constrained, indexed, and thematic strategies.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in credit portfolio management and/or market risk.
  • Experience working with investment teams and presenting to investment committees.
  • Strong team mindset and a collaborative team player who is highly motivated in delivering core areas of coverage, as well as supporting the team's broader business.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to proactively engage with key internal stakeholders and external partners.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in credit research and/or underwriting.

Responsibilities

  • Provide risk oversight for all asset and portfolio risk by working closely with FIMA portfolio managers in New York, London, and Singapore.
  • Lead in-business deep-dives into large exposures, either thematically or as part of stressed credit planning, in addition to daily portfolio monitoring.
  • Conduct regular portfolio reviews for all teams/strategies, including stress-testing portfolios and scenario analysis that combines monitoring and risk assessment.
  • Develop independent assessments for select investments and portfolios, and present recommendations to investment committees, under the guidance of FIMA leadership.
  • Help develop in-business risk management capabilities in partnership with GIC’s second-line risk function (RPMD) to internalize industry best practices.
  • Support the wider risk team in driving portfolio construction, capital allocation, and the development of investment strategies for the broader GIC portfolio.
