About The Position

Within Wholesale Finance, the Product Control Team supports TD Securities and is responsible for providing overall end-to-end accountability for the completeness, accuracy and timeliness of optimized processes and controls for financial reporting. Product Control is the primary point of contact on P&L, Balance Sheet, Attribution, and Independent Pricing Verification & Valuation Adjustments reporting and initiatives, exercising an in depth understanding of the products, valuations, and risks of the Business. The Product Control team provides reporting, analysis, investigation, and commentary for a wide range of TD Securities business lines including equity derivatives, fixed income, credit derivatives, commodities, foreign exchange, and more. The VP, Specialized Finance Manager– Liquidity & Treasury, Product Control is responsible for independent oversight and control of the Treasury and Liquidity portfolios, including P&L production and attribution, balance sheet substantiation, valuation review, funding and investment activities, and associated financial and regulatory reporting. The role partners closely with Treasury Front Office, ALM, Market Risk, Regulatory Reporting, and Finance to ensure accurate reporting, effective controls, and sound governance of Treasury-related positions and exposures.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field.
  • 7+ years of Product Control, Treasury Finance, ALM, Liquidity Risk, or Capital Markets Finance experience.
  • Strong understanding of: Liquidity management and funding products, Balance sheet management, Funds Transfer Pricing (FTP), Asset Liability Management (ALM), Interest Rate Risk in the Banking Book (IRRBB), Regulatory liquidity metrics (LCR, NSFR, NCCF)

  • CPA, CFA, FRM, or equivalent professional designation preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Own daily and monthly Product Control processes supporting Treasury and Liquidity portfolios.
  • Review and explain Treasury-related P&L, balance sheet movements, net interest income impacts, and funding cost variances.
  • Perform balance sheet substantiation, analytical reviews, and ledger-to-subledger reconciliations.
  • Oversee valuation controls and independent review processes for Treasury portfolios.
  • Investigate and resolve valuation, accounting, and reporting issues.
  • Partner with Treasury Front Office, ALM, Market Risk, and Finance to provide independent oversight and challenge.
  • Support management decision-making through analysis of funding strategies, liquidity positions, and balance sheet optimization initiatives.
  • Provide governance over Funds Transfer Pricing methodologies and associated financial impacts.
  • Support Treasury hedge programs and related accounting and reporting implications.
  • Ensure strong financial controls and governance over Treasury and Liquidity activities.
  • Support regulatory and management reporting related to liquidity and funding activities.
  • Assess impacts of changing regulatory requirements on Treasury reporting and controls.
  • Lead remediation efforts arising from control, audit, or governance findings.
  • Maintain a strong control environment aligned with risk management standards.
  • Lead and develop Product Control professionals supporting Treasury and Liquidity businesses.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, control, and continuous improvement.
  • Drive process automation, reporting enhancements, and data quality initiatives.
