About The Position

We are seeking a VP-level Senior Software Developer to lead development and implementation of analytics tools and APIs for quants and portfolio managers. You will provide technical leadership while remaining hands-on: design, build, test, and deploy scalable frontend UIs, high-performance backend services, and APIs; translate quant and portfolio manager requirements into technical designs; collaborate with engineering, quant teams, and portfolio managers to define scope and priorities; own delivery, production reliability, and incident response; and mentor peers.

Requirements

  • Strong Python proficiency.
  • Advanced SQL for complex data analysis.
  • 10+ years of software engineering experience delivering production systems.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred).
  • Familiarity with quantitative workflows or direct experience working with quant teams is required.
  • BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Mathematics or related technical field.
  • 10+ years of hands-on software development experience.
  • Strong Python Proficiency is essential.
  • Strong Pandas and SQL proficiency is essential.
  • Clear communication, results orientation, and willingness to take on multiple roles to deliver solutions under time pressure.

Nice To Haves

  • Distributed systems or large-scale data processing.
  • Containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
  • CI/CD.
  • Frontend JavaScript experience is a plus.
