As a company transforming advertising through mindset, this leader will drive adoption of GumGUm’s innovative solutions that help brands reach consumers in the moments that matter most. Reporting to the SVP of Sales – East Coast, this pivotal role demands a seasoned sales executive with a proven track record of driving sustained revenue growth within the digital advertising landscape. The VP of Sales will be responsible for leading and developing a high-performing regional sales organization, directly managing two senior-level and one senior seller while overseeing a full team of seven. This leader will foster senior-level relationships across agencies and brands, drive disciplined prospecting and account expansion strategies, and deliver consistent year-over-year revenue growth. This dynamic leadership position requires deep market expertise, strong operational rigor, and the ability to translate strategic opportunity into predictable, scalable business outcomes. Note: This position offers the opportunity for remote work or 'work from home' as there isn't a nearby office. However, GumGum is excited to only consider applicants residing in the local area listed in the job description (Massachusetts, Georgia, Florida, DC) for business needs including some or all of the following: client interaction, team interaction, timezone, etc.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Media or Marketing/Advertising field
  • 12+ years of selling experience in digital advertising sales, 7+ of which spent managing team of sellers
  • Experience managing a team to deliver a large book of business (15M+)
  • Demonstrated experience coaching team members to improve performance
  • Must have strong selling experience and track record of hitting or exceeding sales targets demonstrated with a list of brand and agency contacts in addition to other assignments in the region
  • Willingness to travel 50% of the time

Responsibilities

  • Outer Markets East Sales Team Leadership
  • Own Regional Performance & Culture: Lead a complex, multi-market revenue organization across DC, New England, and Southeast territories. Establish a high-performance culture rooted in accountability, ownership, inclusion, and measurable results.
  • Lead Through Leaders: Directly manage two senior managers and one senior seller, empowering them to drive execution while building a strong leadership bench across the full team of seven.
  • Translate Strategy into Execution: Convert national growth priorities into disciplined regional action plans, territory strategies, and account-level focus that deliver sustained revenue growth.
  • Drive Talent & Succession Development: Recruit, retain, and develop top-performing sales talent. Strengthen prospecting rigor, executive engagement, and strategic account expansion capabilities across the region.
  • Establish Operational & Forecasting Discipline: Leverage deep Salesforce fluency and pipeline analytics to drive forecasting accuracy, resource location, and data-informed decision-making.
  • Model Executive Leadership: Represent GumGum’s Mindset positions internally and externally with credibility, inspiring trust across clients, partners and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Drive Revenue Growth for Outer Markets East
  • Deliver Against Aggressive Growth Targets: Own regional revenue performance, consistently achieving and exceeding year-over-year growth objectives across agency, HoldCo, independent, and direct brand partnerships.
  • Build Senior-Level Partnerships: Develop and expand relationships with key agency and brand leaders, unlocking large-scale revenue opportunities through JBPs, commercial agency initiatives, and strategic alignment programs.
  • Drive Disciplined Prospecting & Market Expansion: Establish a proactive prospecting culture that expands GumGum’s footprint across priority accounts and verticals while strengthening regional market presence.
  • Accelerate Account Growth: Identify and activate cross-sell and upsell opportunities across GumGum’s Mindset-driven advertising solutions, ensuring full portfolio adoption.
  • Leverage Market Intelligence: Utilize trade insights, competitive signals, and regional performance data to inform go-to-market strategy and optimize growth plans.

  • The reasonable estimated OTE (base + commission) range for this role is from $440,000 - $480,000 annually.
