About The Position

Motive is looking for a Vice President, Procure-to-Pay (“P2P”) to lead, scale, and transform our global end-to-end procurement, strategic sourcing, and purchasing operations. Reporting as an executive leader, this role owns the overarching vision, organizational architecture, and cross-functional strategies that ensure Motive maximizes commercial leverage, scales efficiently, and maintains robust operational controls across all business units. This executive role requires a transformational leader and seasoned operator who pairs strategic sourcing expertise with executive presence. The ideal candidate will architect enterprise vendor relationships, modernize global workflows through world class systems and processes, align executive stakeholders, and drive substantial bottom-line savings while enabling business velocity.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of progressive executive experience leading global procurement, strategic sourcing, P2P, and other relevant operational functions.
  • Proven track record architecting enterprise vendor negotiations and delivering substantial, measurable savings at scale.
  • Deep experience overseeing software, SaaS, IT infrastructure, and complex indirect spend categories in high-growth environments.
  • Demonstrated experience modernizing enterprise procurement technology stacks, policy frameworks, and operating models.
  • Track record of building strong partnerships with C-suite and executive stakeholders to align cross-functional priorities.
  • Extensive organizational leadership experience, with a proven ability to attract, build, and retain top-tier leaders and teams.
  • Executive-level communication, negotiation, and analytical skills, with a track record of driving strategic consensus.

  • Deep domain experience in high-growth, enterprise technology or SaaS companies.
  • Advanced expertise collaborating with Finance and Accounting leadership on P2P implementations and enterprise ERP integrations, controls, and compliance.
  • Proven experience building comprehensive vendor risk management, security approval workflows, and corporate governance programs.
  • Exceptional executive presence combined with a willing, hands-on strategic problem-solving approach.
  • Master’s degree, MBA, or advanced degree in business, supply chain, or finance preferred; relevant executive certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Architect and execute Motive’s global procure-to-pay strategy across strategic sourcing, vendor management, purchasing operations, and continuous process transformation.
  • Drive enterprise-wide cost savings initiatives and value creation by leading high-stakes profitability initiatives, commercial frameworks, and vendor portfolio strategies.
  • Direct the negotiation strategy for critical, high-value vendor contracts, specifically across enterprise software, technology infrastructure, and global business services.
  • Ensure P2P systems at Motive are best-in-class, designed to scale for growth both in volume and globally. Develop P2P processes to be efficient and automated by leveraging AI and other tools, while also maintaining compliance to public company level standards.
  • Serve as a core partner to the C-suite, departmental senior leaders and key stakeholders across Finance, Accounting, IT, Legal, Security, Workplace, and G&A to enable strategic corporate priorities.
  • Establish enterprise-grade procurement policies, risk mitigation frameworks, and internal controls that safeguard the business while optimizing the employee experience.
  • Define and optimize the end-to-end intake, review, and governance model for enterprise-wide vendor onboarding and tool acquisition.
  • Establish advanced spend analytics, vendor performance scorecards, cycle-time tracking, and savings reporting for executive-level visibility.
  • Build, mentor, and scale a world-class, high-performing global organization across procurement operations, accounts payable and strategic sourcing.
  • Direct departmental capital allocation, support department leaders in managing operating budgets, and ensure strategic cost discipline aligned with long-term financial goals.
  • Serve as the principal executive advisor on procurement risk, vendor consolidation, trade-offs, and spend optimization.
