About The Position

Job Description Summary Job Description Duties and Responsibilities Manage a team of energy infrastructure analysts responsible for project intake, initial underwriting and due diligence for assessing the fit for applicable investors Validate financial models for utility scale and distributed renewable energy projects including revenue structure, reasonableness of the expenses and certain economic schedules Engage with sell side bankers and brokers to source and onboard new deal origination and initial diligence Ensure Investment Committee proposals address all requirements for the appropriate phase of approvals Lead all pipeline management efforts and partner with investor team to rank opportunities for investors Build investment presentations and present those to the RJREI investment committee Keep current on markets and trends affecting all credit eligible asset classes Working with the Transaction Team, develop initial economic proposals for select opportunities Draft and deliver presentations for investors, capital providers, borrowers and joint venture partners Analyze market risk factors and pricing Support initiatives to help the business in achieving its strategic objectives Represent RJREI at select conferences Travel for conferences and other business requirements (<25%) Ad hoc research, investor requests and other tasks critical to the platform’s operations Knowledge & General Skills Minimum Requirements Advanced Microsoft Excel modeling skills including use of complex functions and ability to review and analyze large models for consistency and reliability Expertise in financial, tax, accounting, and investment concepts include partnership and transfer transactions in the renewable energy space Strong communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, both oral and written, and ability to create as well as deliver effective presentations Manages self and others to provide exceptional client service by responding with a sense of urgency, practicality, accountability, and integrity Ability to evaluate complex situations and independently make decisions on significant matters Self-motivated intellectual curiosity Experience with renewable energy infrastructure and related project finance Experience/Qualifications/Education 5+ years in similar role or comparable experience in renewable energy, accounting, and/or finance Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Mathematics, Engineering, Economics or related area Experience in relevant sell side (sponsor/broker) or buy side (investor) project finance role preferred Exposure to non-renewable assets (natural gas, carbon capture, manufacturing, etc.) considered a plus Personal Qualities Ability to work independently, deal confidently and build strong relationships Strong attention to detail Willingness to receive and accept feedback and improve Flexible attitude and the ability to multitask Strong time management / prioritization skills Excellent written, verbal communication and English skills Helpful, hardworking approach and a team player Unparalleled honesty and integrity Client first mentality Education Bachelor’s (Required) Work Experience General Experience - 3 to 6 years Certifications Travel Less than 25% Workstyle Resident At Raymond James our associates use five guiding behaviors (Develop, Collaborate, Decide, Deliver, Improve) to deliver on the firm's core values of client-first, integrity, independence and a conservative, long-term view. Requirements

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel modeling skills including use of complex functions and ability to review and analyze large models for consistency and reliability
