VP of Technology

Isaac OperationsToronto, ON
Hybrid

About The Position

Isaac Operations is seeking an exceptional Vice President of Technology to lead and scale its technology practice and define its long-term future. This role is for a seasoned technology executive who operates at the intersection of enterprise strategy, client partnership, and technical excellence. The VP of Technology will oversee a growing team of developers, data analysts, and technology consultants, and will be accountable for both the performance of that team and the growth of the Isaac Technology business at an organizational level. The ideal candidate can engage in C-suite conversations, rapidly diagnose complex operational challenges, and align client leadership and internal delivery teams around a bold, practical technology vision. This role requires comfort presenting to a CEO or Board as well as challenging architecture decisions with engineering leads. It is for an ambitious technology executive who wants to build something, not just manage it, and wants to see their leadership make a measurable difference for real businesses and real people. While a flexible working environment is offered, this role is expected to be in person at the Liberty Village office a minimum of three days per week on average, with additional client travel as needed.

Requirements

  • 10-15 years of progressive experience in technology roles, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership or executive capacity.
  • A background leading technology practices, business units, or P&Ls within a consulting, professional services, or custom software environment.
  • Deep technical fluency across software development, systems architecture, and data analytics — with the judgment to guide technical decisions at an organizational level.
  • A proven track record of building and scaling high-performing technology teams, with a genuine investment in developing leaders within your organization.
  • Demonstrated success driving business development and revenue growth at a senior level, including owning client relationships and closing complex engagements.
  • Executive presence and communication skills that command credibility at the C-suite level while remaining accessible and grounded with technical teams.
  • High adaptability and comfort with ambiguity; the ability to lead with clarity and conviction in fast-moving, complex environments.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with clients in industrial, operational, or manufacturing environments is a strong asset.

Responsibilities

  • Define and own the long-term strategic vision for the Isaac Technology practice, including how solutions are architected, delivered, and scaled across a growing portfolio of client engagements.
  • Serve as an organizational champion for technology as a core driver of Isaac's competitive differentiation and consulting value proposition.
  • Build and own a multi-year roadmap spanning team capabilities, technology platforms, tooling, and talent, and hold accountability for its execution.
  • Shape Isaac's point of view on emerging technologies and bring authoritative, commercially grounded perspectives on adoption to both clients and internal leadership.
  • Set the standards for technical excellence across the technology practice, ensuring all solutions are scalable, commercially sound, and aligned with client outcomes.
  • Provide executive-level oversight across the technology portfolio, empowering technical leads while maintaining accountability for delivery quality, risk, and client satisfaction.
  • Establish the frameworks, processes, and governance structures that enable a growing team to deliver consistently and confidently.
  • Engage at the executive level on project steering and escalation, serving as the final point of accountability for delivery outcomes.
  • Serve as Isaac's most senior technology voice in client relationships, building trusted partnerships with C-suite and executive stakeholders across industries.
  • Own the growth strategy for the Isaac Technology business, including pipeline development, go-to-market positioning, and revenue targets.
  • Lead high-stakes client engagements from early discovery through contract close, bringing credibility and commercial acumen to every conversation.
  • Partner closely with Isaac's consulting leadership to embed technology strategy into enterprise-wide client mandates.
  • Drive client retention and expansion by ensuring exceptional delivery, proactively managing executive relationships, and continually identifying new opportunities to create value.
  • Lead, develop, and inspire a scaling team of developers, data analysts, and technology consultants, building a culture of high performance, ownership, and continuous growth.
  • Establish the organizational structure, talent strategy, and career development frameworks necessary to attract, retain, and grow top technical talent.
