Having recently surpassed $100M in revenue, we are experiencing rapid growth and differentiating ourselves in a market saturated with AI point solutions and legacy contact centers that fail to deliver peak performance. We are seeking a VP of Solutions Engineering to lead and scale our global pre-sales engineering function across the US and EMEA during a critical growth phase for Crescendo. This executive role comes with P&L responsibility, a position on the Go-To-Market leadership team, and significant influence over our market strategy. The successful candidate will lead a high-performing, distributed team of Solutions Engineers, establish benchmarks for technical excellence and customer storytelling, and act as a crucial link between our product, field sales, and enterprise clients. This role involves shaping our product narrative in competitive scenarios, translating market feedback into product roadmap influence, and ensuring Crescendo achieves technical wins across its AI-native CX capabilities and managed services. This is a foundational role for an experienced leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, possesses a systems-thinking approach, and desires to make a significant impact at a leading AI company in the customer experience sector.

Requirements

  • 12+ years in Solutions Engineering or Sales Engineering, with 6+ years in progressive leadership roles — including experience managing managers or leading distributed teams.
  • Proven track record of building and scaling SE organizations in high-growth SaaS, ideally in CX, AI, or infrastructure.
  • History of winning large, complex, strategic deals through technical depth, executive presence, and creative problem-solving.
  • Ability to operate across altitude — equally effective in a live demo, a C-suite strategy session, or a pipeline review.
  • Strong cross-functional instincts: you know how to influence product, marketing, and sales to create compounding leverage.
  • A builder's mindset — process design, playbook creation, and organizational development energize rather than exhaust you.
  • Experience managing globally distributed teams and navigating the nuances of enterprise sales across North America and EMEA.

Responsibilities

  • Own the global Solutions Engineering function — setting vision, structure, and operating cadence for a distributed team across US and EMEA.
  • Serve as a strategic partner to the CRO and Sales Leadership, co-owning deal strategy on enterprise and strategic accounts and participating in executive-level customer conversations.
  • Design repeatable, high-impact demos, proof-of-concept frameworks, and technical narratives that bring Crescendo's Managed AI + Superhuman differentiation to life.
  • Build and own the career framework, hiring strategy, onboarding, and professional development programs that make Crescendo SE a destination function.
  • Own department metrics, capacity planning, and monthly and quarterly business reviews in a high-growth environment where each quarter raises the bar.
  • Define and iterate the playbooks by which the team delivers demos, conducts technical discovery, and translates customer signals into clear product insights that inform roadmap decisions.
  • Collaborate with Product, Marketing, and Sales Enablement to develop customer-facing resources, competitive positioning, and scalable pre-sales assets.
  • Ensure consistency and excellence across the global team through robust process design and enablement infrastructure.
  • Build trusted advisor relationships with prospects, executives, and technical decision-makers to drive deal velocity, compress sales cycles, and support expansion.
