About The Position

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Vice President of Sales to provide strategic sales leadership to define revenue growth strategies, expand market share and oversee all sales operations company-wide. In this role, the individual will be responsible for building and maintaining high-level client relationships with key decision-makers and aligning the sales and marketing resources to educate the market on the technical and business benefits of our fiber build construction solutions. The ideal candidate will be a proactive, self-motivated leader with a deep strategic understanding of the fiber optic infrastructure market and a proven track record in sales leadership.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree is required.
  • Proven track record in outside sales, business development, preferably within the telecommunications or fiber optics construction industry
  • Solid understanding of fiber optic technology, outside plant infrastructure (e.g., underground/aerial) and networking and related products
  • Ability to inspire, mentor and build high performing sales function with the company
  • Capable of translating complex market data and trends into actionable sales strategies
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with experience in making executive-level presentations and participating in contract negotiations
  • Expert proficiency with CRM platforms (e.g., Pipedrive), Microsoft Office and Apple hardware (e.g., Macs, iPad and iPhone)
  • Strong financial acumen, including revenue modeling
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt strategies based on evolving market conditions and customer needs
  • Willingness and ability to travel frequently as needed
  • Valid driver's license

Nice To Haves

  • An MBA or an advanced degree in a relevant field is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Planning and Execution: Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies and plans that align with the company's overall business objectives.
  • Business Development and Market Expansion: Identify and target potential new markets and clients for our fiber build construction solutions.
  • Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key new and existing clients and strategic partners to ensure high levels of customer and prospect satisfaction.
  • Sales Operations and Forecasting: Oversee the entire sales pipeline and operations, including budgeting, resource allocation, and providing accurate sales forecasts and performance reports to executive leadership.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with the C-level executives in the human resources, marketing, finance, and operations departments to ensure seamless go-to-market strategies that drive the company’s goals and objectives.
