About The Position

Baysora is building a family of best-in-class tax and accounting firms. The VP of Portfolio Operations & Value Creation will own organic growth across Baysora’s portfolio, driving both revenue and EBITDA expansion through hands-on execution and partnership with firm leadership. This role owns the design, execution, and scaling of Baysora’s value creation strategy, working closely with firm leadership, the Baysora executive team, and functional partners across finance, HR, and technology. The primary mandate is to deliver sustained organic growth at scale across the portfolio, with direct accountability for outcomes, while building repeatable systems, playbooks, and proof points that compound Baysora’s long-term enterprise value.

Requirements

  • 6–10+ years of experience in private equity portfolio operations, management consulting, strategy, or operating roles within multi-location or professional services businesses.
  • Strong bias toward execution and accountability, not just analysis.
  • Experience working with founder-led or partner-led businesses.
  • Proven ability to translate strategy into practical, repeatable operating playbooks.
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally with finance, HR, technology, and operations.
  • Strong analytical skills combined with strong interpersonal judgment.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior P&L ownership is a big nice-to-have.
  • Experience scaling organic growth initiatives across multiple operating units is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and continuously refine Baysora’s value creation playbook, including growth, pricing, productivity, talent, and operational levers.
  • Partner with firm leadership to design and execute firm-specific value creation plans with clear initiatives, milestones, and accountability.
  • Establish operating cadence, dashboards, and performance tracking to ensure initiatives translate into measurable results.
  • Capture outcomes in data-backed case studies to support Baysora’s long-term valuation narrative.
  • Develop a value creation plan during diligence, including baseline assessment, opportunity sizing, and execution planning.
  • Serve as a key partner to acquired firms post-close, ensuring smooth onboarding and rapid execution of priority initiatives.
  • Project manage post-integration onboarding in partnership with HR, Finance, and other functional leaders.
  • Help build and scale the Baysora partner community, including the annual Partner Summit and ongoing best-practice sharing across firms.
  • Foster collaboration among firm leaders to accelerate learning, adoption of best practices, and cultural alignment.
  • Build trusted, long-term relationships with sellers and firm leadership, positioning Baysora as a value-add operating partner.
  • Partner with Baysora’s technology leadership to help define and execute technology and AI strategy across both HoldCo and portfolio firms.
  • Identify opportunities where technology can meaningfully improve growth, efficiency, client experience, or talent leverage.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, events, and partnerships relevant to tax, accounting, and professional services.
  • Act as a strategic thought partner to the CEO and leadership team on scaling Baysora as a platform.
  • Contribute to longer-term strategic initiatives, including potential expansion into adjacent services or business models
