About The Position

The VP of Marketing will develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies to support occupancy growth, service line expansion, and organizational priorities. This role serves as the steward of the MorseLife brand, ensuring consistent identity, transparency, messaging, and positioning across all communications. Responsibilities include overseeing advertising, marketing campaigns, and promotional initiatives across digital, print, and broadcast channels, as well as developing compelling messaging that highlights MorseLife’s mission, programs, and community impact. The position also oversees the organization’s website, digital platforms, and social media presence, leading digital marketing initiatives such as SEO, online advertising, and content marketing. Ensuring digital platforms effectively support lead generation and brand awareness, and managing the creation of multimedia content that tells the MorseLife story are key. The role involves overseeing the collection, management, and reporting of marketing and sales/admissions data to optimize ROI and identify trends. It also includes administering a repository of market research, monitoring key trends and competitive activities, and supervising external market research efforts related to planning, new business, and product development. The VP will ensure the regular delivery of market intelligence to guide executive-level decision making. Additionally, the role directs media relations, develops public relations strategies, oversees external communications, and leads crisis communications planning. Internal communications strategies to keep employees informed and engaged are also part of the role, along with supporting leadership messaging and organizational announcements. The VP will support the organization’s strategic planning process, facilitate planning sessions, and provide strategic insights. Market analysis, competitive intelligence, and demographic research are overseen, with insights informing marketing strategies, business development, and service planning. Collaboration with the VP of Sales and Business Development, operations and program leaders, and development and philanthropy teams is expected. The role involves leading and mentoring marketing and communications professionals, managing external vendors, and overseeing marketing and communications budgets.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field required.
  • Minimum of 10–15 years of progressive leadership experience in marketing, communications, or strategic planning.
  • Demonstrated expertise in brand strategy, digital marketing, public relations, and integrated marketing campaigns.
  • Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and leadership skills.
  • This position requires a background screening through the Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse.

  • Master’s degree preferred (MBA, Communications, or similar).
  • Experience in healthcare, senior living, nonprofit, or mission-driven organizations preferred.

  • Provide insights that inform marketing strategies, business development initiatives, and service planning.
  • Monitor industry trends and emerging opportunities in senior living and healthcare.
  • Partner with the Vice President of Sales and Business Development to ensure marketing strategies generate qualified leads.
  • Collaborate with operations and program leaders to support service line growth.
  • Work with development and philanthropy teams to support fundraising communications.
  • Lead and mentor marketing and communications professionals.
  • Manage external vendors, agencies, and consultants.
  • Oversee marketing and communications budgets and ensure efficient resource allocation.
  • Provide direct supervision of the Film Festival Manager, Director of Business Intelligence Development, Director of Sales and Marketing, Community Liaison, and Director of Creative Design.
