VP of Marketing

Copia AutomationNew York, NY

About The Position

Copia is seeking a VP of Marketing to build and lead a revenue marketing organization. This role operates under a modern model where marketing is accountable for pipeline numbers, works closely with sales, and owns outcomes from initial contact through to closed-won deals and expansion. The focus is on driving sourced and influenced pipeline within target accounts, rather than brand building or lead volume. The VP of Marketing will report directly to the CEO and collaborate with Sales, BD/Ops, and Product leadership. They will inherit a talented marketing team, an existing ABM motion that is generating pipeline, and the necessary budget and authority to develop the team, systems, and programs required for scaling. The ideal candidate has experience leading and scaling teams to build repeatable demand and ABM engines from scratch. They are revenue-obsessed, thinking in terms of pipeline and closed deals, and comfortable being held accountable to quarterly numbers. A low-ego, credible partner to sales, they have experience working directly with SDRs and AEs to penetrate named accounts. They are hypothesis-driven and data-oriented, using a strong playbook while adapting it to Copia's unique value proposition. They remain grounded yet optimistic, navigating long enterprise sales cycles with a focus on problem-solving and pipeline progression.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of B2B marketing experience, with a focus on enterprise and account-based motions.
  • 5+ years leading marketing teams.
  • A track record of marketing to and winning super-enterprise ($8B+) and enterprise ($2–8B) accounts, ideally in OT security, cybersecurity, or a closely adjacent technical enterprise category.
  • Experience partnering directly with founders and executive leadership.
  • Demonstrated success in building and scaling ABM programs against a defined target-account list.
  • Demonstrated success in carrying, forecasting, and hitting a marketing-sourced and influenced pipeline number.
  • Demonstrated success in running tailored field and event programs for enterprise buyers.
  • Demonstrated success in partnering with SDR and sales teams to penetrate named accounts.
  • Fluency with the modern revenue marketing stack, including CRM, marketing automation + AI tools, ABM platforms, and pipeline attribution and reporting.
  • Experience building AI workflows that improve personal productivity and team efficiency across all marketing functions.
  • Exceptional communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Build a repeatable, account-based marketing program that generates and accelerates pipeline in Copia's most important target accounts.
  • Drive the ABM motion by orchestrating marketing, sales, and partnerships against a defined list of target accounts to source and influence pipeline in super-enterprise and enterprise segments.
  • Build the brand, category, and partnership presence to establish Copia as the leading choice in OT security and industrial code management.
  • Develop and execute Account-Based Marketing strategies using a dynamically ranked target-account list and intent signal infrastructure to build multi-threaded plays for landing and expanding super-enterprise and enterprise accounts.
  • Build a targeted, always-on demand generation engine focused on a small, high-value account universe, with every program judged on pipeline contribution.
  • Design tailored field and event programs and executive experiences to engage ICP buyers (CISOs, controls engineers, OT security and operations leaders) and convert them into qualified pipeline.
  • Partner directly with SDRs and AEs to penetrate named accounts and move deals through the funnel, developing content, messaging, and plays for enterprise buying committees, and running acceleration programs for stalled deals.
  • Develop co-marketing strategies with channel, ecosystem, and strategic partners to source and expand pipeline through trusted relationships.
  • Sharpen Copia's positioning, messaging, and narrative for OT security and industrial code management, ensuring consistent application across all channels and touchpoints, including evolving the analyst relations motion.
  • Collaborate with the BizOps team to establish the marketing technology stack and reporting infrastructure to measure program impact on sourced and influenced pipeline, agreeing on pipeline targets with the CEO and finance, and reporting on them quarterly.

Benefits

  • Best-in-class start-up with huge amounts of upside and impact.
  • Remote team throughout North America.
  • Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
