VP of Finance

Condor SoftwareSan Francisco, CA

About The Position

Condor is building the financial intelligence layer for clinical development, connecting clinical operations, vendor activity, and financial signals into a single, real-time intelligence layer. The company is backed by top institutional partners and is growing rapidly with Top 200 biopharma companies. This is a rare opportunity to help build foundational infrastructure that will shape how new therapies reach patients. The VP of Finance is a foundational leadership role responsible for building the financial operating discipline behind a company defining a new category in life sciences. This role is about shaping how Condor scales with clarity, confidence, and control. As Condor’s strategic finance leader, you will partner closely with the CEO and executive team to turn growth into a durable operating model. You will own company-wide financial planning and analysis, connect go-to-market strategy, product investment, and hiring decisions into a single, coherent plan, and ensure the company always understands the tradeoffs it is making and why. Operating at the intersection of strategy and execution, you will build a living financial model that ties revenue, headcount, and cash together in real time. Your work will directly influence how Condor allocates resources, manages burn and runway, and makes high-stakes decisions as the company scales. This role is for a finance leader who wants real ownership, real influence, and the chance to help shape a company at a critical inflection point.

Requirements

  • Experience helping build effective finance functions in early-stage, high-growth SaaS companies.
  • Skilled across the full finance stack: FP&A, strategic finance, accounting oversight, SaaS metrics, budgeting, compliance, and investor relations.
  • Experience partnering closely with Sales, RevOps, Product, and Engineering, translating operating plans into financial outcomes.
  • Comfort operating in a startup environment, including rolling up sleeves while building for scale.
  • Successful track record driving financial strategy and discipline through the enterprise SaaS growth journey, including fundraising support and board communications.

Responsibilities

  • Build and Own the Operating Model: Own and continuously maintain Condor’s financial model (revenue, headcount, opex, cash), ensuring it remains a practical decision-making tool, not just a board artifact.
  • Define, track, and report on core vertical SaaS metrics, including ARR, NRR, CAC payback, burn, sales productivity, etc.
  • Partner closely with RevOps and Sales leadership on pipeline-to-bookings forecasting that reflects an enterprise and SMB sales-led motion.
  • Support Growth and Fundraising: Work directly with the CEO on fundraising preparation, including investor narratives, financial models, and data room materials aligned with top-tier investor expectations.
  • Prepare board-ready reporting packages with clear KPIs, insights, and scenario analyses that stand up to scrutiny from growth equity and institutional investors.
  • Pressure-test go-to-market and hiring plans against cash, runway, and ARR targets.
  • Drive Cross-Functional Alignment: Partner with Product and Engineering on headcount planning, ROI, and investment prioritization such as what is best to fund, at what cost, and on what timeline.
  • Provide Sales and Marketing with a finance-backed framework for quotas, territories, and investment levels.
  • Ensure the company is tracking the right KPIs and that business intelligence around those metrics is accurate, reliable, and accessible.
  • Build Scalable Finance Infrastructure: Stand up and mature core finance processes, including forecasting cadence, budget vs. actuals, and basic financial controls.
  • Hire and manage accounting and FP&A support as the company scales, rather than operating as a solo finance function.
  • Own investor reporting and internal dashboards as Condor grows.
