VP of Corporate Security
About The Position
As Vice President of Corporate Security, you hold enterprise-wide responsibility for safeguarding guests, associates, and executives. You define and lead a comprehensive protection strategy spanning protective intelligence, executive protection, physical security, crisis response, and operational security. Reporting to the Executive Vice President, General Counsel & Secretary, the Vice President of Corporate Security serves as a strategic security leader and advisor to enterprise property management teams. This role is responsible for overseeing corporate physical security, executive protection, threat assessments, vendor performance, ensuring contract compliance, and maintaining high standards for security program execution. In addition, you also play a key role in developing innovative security initiatives, drive staff security awareness training programs, and the development of a culture of security across the enterprise. The role requires frequent travel and the ability to respond to security incidents or crisis situations as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Minimum 15 years of experience in security operations, law enforcement, training, or related fields
- Executive protection training/certification (recognized EP academy or equivalent)
- Possess or have the ability to obtain ASIS CPP (Certified Protection Professional)
- At least 10 years of supervisory or leadership experience
- Strong knowledge of security industry standards and practices
- Ability to travel up to 50% as required
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and respond to high-stress situations
Responsibilities
- Own and drive the development of a culture of security awareness and reporting enterprise wide
- Serve as a security advisor and consultant to property management teams and safety departments across assigned locations
- Builds and maintains relationships with federal, state, local law enforcement agencies, and emergency services within the TH operational footprint to ensure effective and efficient response to physical security threats
- Develops and operates security programs for the corporate office and remote work force hubs (access control, surveillance, intrusion detection, visitor management, mail/package screening, and CPTED)
- Act as the corporate liaison for 3rd party protective intelligence and investigations vendor to assess, forecast, prioritize and triage threats and incidents
- Develop and implement comprehensive security plans for corporate events, executive protection and travel including risk assessments, advances, security staffing requirements, and emergency response strategies
- Provide oversight and guidance on security-related budgets and capital projects
- Monitor and evaluate security vendor performance to ensure contract compliance and operational effectiveness
- Conduct security program evaluations and provide recommendations to maintain high-quality standards
- Respond to crisis situations remotely or onsite to assist with safety, security, and business continuity operations
- Prepare and distribute security alerts and communications to operational teams as necessary
- If requested, conduct internal investigations related to criminal activity or serious violations of company policies
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal corporate departments and remote work force hub lodges to support security initiatives and operational objectives
- Prepare professional written communications, reports, and documentation
- Perform additional duties as assigned
