We are currently seeking a VP, Marketing and Communications to support our Energy and Environment Division.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and minimum 15 years of progressive marketing or communications experience in an organization, and excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Position requires a thorough understanding of government contracting/customers.
  • Must be articulate with executive presence, creative and forward-looking, a decision-maker, a change agent, and have a demonstrated track record of success developing and executing successful communication programs and driving business growth and concrete results for an organization.
  • Maintains an expansive network with relevant media and stakeholders and understands all aspects of the business.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills; ability to foster collaborative decision-making; and strong relationship-building skills are required.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and direct execution of a marketing communications strategy that is purposeful, comprehensive, and measurable in support of the brand, corporate strategy, and business and growth objectives.
  • Provide strategic marketing and communications counsel to the Group president and leadership team on media relations, crisis preparedness and management, and legislative initiatives. This includes anticipating and identifying challenges and emerging issues that may affect Amentum’s and the Group's reputation and proactively developing strategies to address them.
  • Provide marketing counsel and deliverables to the Group and business lines to help achieve strategic growth and financial objectives.
  • Partner and collaborate with Amentum Marketing and Communications senior leaders and teams to ensure a coordinated communications approach, resulting in a consistent brand experience across the enterprise.
  • Oversee the development and execution of marketing communications strategy to position the Group as a market and thought leader, maximize positive exposure, and achieve brand and product awareness, including digital campaigns, advertising, sponsorships, trade shows, and events.
  • Ensure all materials related to corporate marketing, advertising, and sponsorship meet Amentum brand standards and are consistent with corporate messaging.
  • Partner with Group Business Development and business line leaders on campaigns to position the team to win recompetes and key pursuits, and strategically open new markets for growth.
  • Develop and implement a recruitment marketing strategy and targeted campaigns to help the Group attract new talent across diverse geographies and skill sets.
  • Have the ability to represent the Group as its chief spokesperson with the media and other key stakeholders on public issues that affect the company and the competitive environment in which we operate.
  • Direct the development and implementation of an effective global media relations program aligned with overall Amentum messaging to promote positive coverage of the company and to convey its strategic themes and differentiating capabilities to a broad audience.
  • Build and nurture trusted relationships with key external stakeholders.
  • Continue to enhance the company's presence and engagement with digital tools, including the company website and a range of social media platforms.
  • Using multiple communication channels leads to the development and execution of a sustainable internal communications program that increases employees' understanding and support of Amentum’s vision, mission, values, and initiatives; one that meets employees' needs and interests and inspires and drives engagement.
  • Drive the Group's community investment program, including corporate sponsorship, charitable giving, community relations, and compliance with all corporate policies. The program seeks to meet company goals of community partnership, responsible stewardship of resources, and to strengthen our employees' connection to our mission, our strategy, and the community.
  • Demonstrate alignment with the Group's cultural principles and model safe, inclusive, and ethical behavior.
