About The Position

We are seeking a transformational Vice President of Information Security & Infrastructure to lead the modernization of its enterprise technology environment. Reporting directly to the Sr. IT leader, this executive will own cybersecurity, infrastructure, cloud platforms, technology operations, disaster recovery, identity management, and enterprise resilience. The organization is in the early stages of a significant technology transformation. Following years of industry-wide technology underinvestment and challenges stemming from a previous merger effort, they are investing heavily in modernizing systems, strengthening security, and building a scalable technology foundation capable of supporting over 600 properties nationwide. The successful candidate will be both a strategic executive and a hands-on leader who can assess current-state capabilities, identify gaps, build roadmaps, and execute against ambitious transformation objectives.

Requirements

  • Proven experience developing and leading enterprise information security programs, including security governance, risk management, identity and access management, regulatory compliance, incident response, and executive-level cyber risk reporting.
  • Extensive experience overseeing enterprise infrastructure environments encompassing cloud platforms, networks, servers, endpoints, technology operations, disaster recovery, and modernization initiatives that improve scalability, reliability, and performance.
  • Demonstrated success building and executing cybersecurity strategies that strengthen organizational security posture through threat detection, vulnerability management, security operations, third-party risk management, data protection, and proactive risk mitigation.
  • Executive-level experience leading cybersecurity, infrastructure, cloud, and technology operations functions within a complex enterprise environment.
  • Strong knowledge of information security frameworks, risk management, incident response, identity and access management, and disaster recovery planning.
  • Experience developing and executing multi-year technology transformation and modernization roadmaps.
  • Proven success managing large budgets, technology investments, strategic vendors, and managed service providers.
  • Ability to communicate technology risks, investment priorities, and operational performance to executive leadership and Board-level stakeholders.
  • Experience building and scaling high-performing security, infrastructure, and operations teams.
  • Strong understanding of cloud platforms, enterprise networking, infrastructure architecture, and operational resilience.
  • Experience supporting geographically distributed organizations with multiple locations and business units.
  • Demonstrated ability to assess current-state environments, identify gaps, and drive meaningful organizational change.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience within a publicly traded company, REIT, commercial real estate organization, or similarly regulated environment is highly preferred.
