About The Position

This position leads the operations and sets the vision and strategy for Intermountain Health’s Imaging Services. The position has oversight and accountability for operations and performance of imaging services, ensuring compliance with all regulatory and accreditation standards assuring patient safety and high-quality delivery of care and experience. This position guides the work of imaging services in designing and deploying evidence based best practices and executing desired outcomes across the Intermountain enterprise in collaboration with each region. This position provides effective and inspiring leadership aligning Imaging services with the enterprise’s mission, vision, values and strategies. This position has oversight of the financial and operational aspects of Imaging ensuring its efficiency and sustainability. The leader is expected to leverage the integrated healthcare delivery model and engage with physicians and other caregivers to further integrate imaging services into seamless care delivery processes across the care continuum to achieve and sustain improvements in patient outcomes. Leads the operations of imaging services by setting vision and strategy, developing and supporting the implementation of shared goals and monitoring and evaluating outcomes. Build and maintain trusting relationships across the enterprise, collaborating effectively to improve safety, quality, and experience. Ensures standardization of best practice driving a culture of continuous improvement delivering best-in-class quality and experience outcomes, patient and caregiver safety, access and affordability, and caregiver engagement Monitors financial outcomes, performance measures and implements Intermountain strategies to meet desired objectives Provides effective and inspiring leadership necessary to achieve a caregiver work environment aligned with our mission, vision and values Ensures compliance with all laws, regulations and accreditation requirements for Imaging Services Responsible for all aspects of imaging operations including the imaging equipment install base, imaging informatics, imaging staffing models, budgeting, purchasing, recruitment and retention, financial performance, and regulatory compliance. Identify and pursue opportunities for growth, innovation, and improvement in imaging services, such as new modalities, techniques, and programs.

Requirements

  • A Master's degree or enrollment in a Master's Degree Program with completion within 3 years of starting the position. Degree must be obtained through an accredited institution. Degree is verified.
  • Extensive and progressive leadership experience with documented success in an integrated healthcare system, managed care or hospital environment with broad clinical, operational, and regulatory background.
  • Experience in a role requiring demonstrated experience in obtaining successful results managing complex issues in highly matrixed organizations.
  • Experience in a role requiring demonstrated success in obtaining results in leading change with new initiatives with the ability to discuss areas of disagreement openly and constructively.
  • Experience in a role requiring skills related to balancing clinical, regulatory and financial goals and outcomes and collaborating with all levels within an organization.
  • Interact with others requiring employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information.
  • Operate computers, telephones, office equipment, and manipulate paper requiring the ability to move fingers and hands.
  • See and read computer monitors and documents.
  • Remain sitting or standing for long periods of time to perform work on a computer, telephone, or other equipment.
