About The Position

Responsible for executing Sammons Independent Annuity Group’s (SIAG) strategic priorities by translating strategy into actionable plans, driving enterprise alignment, and enabling the successful delivery of key initiatives. Oversee business planning, operating cadence, and cross-functional execution to ensure strategic initiatives are implemented effectively and deliver measurable results. Facilitate governance forums, execution reviews, and planning processes to maintain alignment, accountability, and performance against SIAG’s strategic objectives. Build the capabilities, processes, and infrastructure required to support scalable growth and long-term success.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • Extensive experience in product development and strategic project management
  • Broad knowledge of Annuity and Life functions and how these functions interrelate with our Field Force, Policy Owners, the Division, and other areas of the business
  • Possess considerable knowledge of industry trends and technologies needed for the design, development, and implementation of complex initiatives
  • Ability to work effectively with individuals and groups
  • Flexible in coping with changing business environments
  • Well-developed oral and written communication skills to effectively communicate with a variety of personalities and locations
  • High degree of decision-making ability, using tact and good judgment
  • A credit and criminal background check is required

Responsibilities

  • Lead execution of SIAG’s strategic plan, ensuring alignment across Sales, Product, Marketing, Shared Services, and Sammons Financial Group Companies partners.
  • In conjunction with the VP of Strategic Planning, facilitate the annual planning process, including prioritization of initiatives, target setting, and resource alignment, ensuring the translation of strategy into executable plans.
  • Establish and lead operating cadence forums, including execution reviews, initiative governance, and performance checkpoints to track progress and drive accountability.
  • Facilitate cross-functional execution alignment sessions to ensure clarity of roles, responsibilities, timelines, and interdependencies across initiatives.
  • Translate strategic priorities into actionable roadmaps and performance management frameworks.
  • Drive implementation of key enterprise initiatives, ensuring delivery against timelines, objectives, and expected business outcomes.
  • Oversee integration of large-scale initiatives and ensure successful adoption into business operations.
  • Build and enhance operational processes, tools, and capabilities that enable efficient and scalable execution.
  • Leverage data and analytics to monitor performance, identify gaps, and drive continuous improvement across initiatives and business processes.
  • Support development and enablement of digital and data capabilities across distribution and operational functions.
  • Partner with Planning and Business Development, Sales, Product, Marketing, and enterprise stakeholders to ensure coordinated execution of strategic priorities.
  • Enable cross-business unit collaboration to improve the efficiency, consistency, and effectiveness of execution.
  • Provide leadership to direct reports, fostering accountability, execution discipline, and performance aligned with SIAG’s objectives.
  • Work closely and collaboratively with other SIAG, Shared Services, and Corporate Services leaders to gain alignment on SIAG strategy and go-to-market initiatives.
  • Drive and reinforce commitment to internal controls processes and enterprise governance standards.
