About The Position

Platform Services is the digital growth engine for DNV Energy Systems North America, focused on orchestrating distributed energy assets through intelligent SaaS platforms. The mission is to bridge infrastructure complexity with commercial execution by delivering secure, AI-native SaaS platforms that turn digital ambition into operational reality for Tier-1 utilities and energy operators. The vision is to unify fragmented legacy architectures into a single, modern data model, building the operational nervous system that accelerates decarbonization. This role is critical for scaling customer-account growth and addressing significant platform-engineering challenges in the energy sector. The VP/Head of Department-Product is responsible for the integrated platform roadmap and customer experience across the eTRACK+ portfolio, including AI-enabled features. This involves deciding what Platform Services builds, the sequence of development, packaging, and pricing. The role requires closing the loop between customer signals from Commercial, AI capabilities from Enterprise AI, and engineering execution from Engineering. Key responsibilities include leading the repositioning of the platform and modules into a unified offering, launching the AI tier as a commercial differentiator, and translating industry trends into scalable product strategy. The role requires collaboration across multiple time zones and is based in one of DNV's U.S. offices with a hybrid work schedule.

  • Experience integrating customer signals, AI capabilities, and engineering execution.
  • Proven ability to lead platform and module repositioning to create a unified platform.
  • Experience launching new product tiers, particularly AI-driven offerings.

  • Experience collaborating across multiple time zones.
  • Experience defining commercial models including pricing, licensing, and packaging.

  • Deep understanding of AI capabilities and their application in SaaS platforms.
  • Experience with SaaS product-led growth strategies.
  • Familiarity with DNV's eTRACK+ portfolio.

Responsibilities

  • Own the integrated eTRACK+ roadmap including AI-enabled features, dictating build priorities, sequence, tier positioning, packaging, and pricing.
  • Lead the repositioning of the platform and modules to create a unified platform with adoptable capability modules for customers.
  • Translate utility industry transformation trends (DER proliferation, grid digitization, AI-driven program operations, decarbonization mandates, IRA-funded electrification) into scalable product and market strategy for Tier-1 utility customers.
  • Align Platform Services' direction with Energy Systems' broader digital strategy and DNV's global priorities.
  • Define and own platform packaging, pricing, and tier strategy, including the AI tier, based on AI capabilities developed by Enterprise AI.
  • Develop customer adoption and value models using customer feedback, usage analytics, and domain expert input.
  • Manage the boundary with Enterprise AI, where AI owns development and Product owns packaging, pricing, and customer experience integration.
  • Equip Commercial, Customer Success, and Pre-Sales teams with enablement materials, training, and product narratives for confident deployment.
  • Define commercial models (pricing, licensing, packaging, partnership structures) to support sustainable growth and a 2-3x revenue growth trajectory.
  • Partner with Commercial on go-to-market execution, anchor account expansion, and converting accounts into multi-year platform commitments.
  • Drive analyst engagement on product narrative and category positioning.
  • Represent DNV's digital direction in strategic customer engagements, partnerships, and industry forums.
  • Own the win-loss program, including structured customer interviews, quarterly synthesis, and roadmap implications.

  • Lead the alignment of product-related innovation across Energy Systems to ensure a cohesive digital strategy and shared innovation foundations.
