Vice President, Group Sales United Parks & Resorts Reports to: Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) Location: Miami, FL or Orlando, FL Role Overview The Vice President of Group Sales is responsible for owning and scaling the corporate group strategy across United Parks & Resorts, including corporate events, education programs, B2B sales, and online group channels. This role is accountable for driving profitable group attendance and revenue, building and converting pipeline in partnership with park teams, enhancing the education guest experience in collaboration with zoo and animal care teams, and identifying new growth opportunities across segments, geographies, and use cases. The VP, Group Sales operates as a general manager of the group business - owning strategy, budget, forecasting, execution, and long-term capital planning -while serving as the link between parks, sales, marketing, operations, education, and finance.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in group sales, B2B sales, events, or related commercial leadership roles.
  • Demonstrated success driving group revenue across multiple locations or business units.
  • Strong experience managing field-based and park-based teams.
  • High proficiency in Excel for forecasting, modeling, and performance tracking.
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally and drive execution through influence.
  • Strong executive presence and comfort presenting to senior leadership and Boards.
  • High ownership and accountability mindset.
  • Commercially rigorous with a strong understanding of yield, margin, and ROI.
  • Execution-focused with the ability to translate strategy into park-level results.
  • Clear, confident communicator who can operate effectively at all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Own the enterprise-wide group strategy across corporate events, education & school programs, B2B group sales, and online/self-service group channels.
  • Set clear growth priorities by segment, park, seasonality, and margin profile.
  • Partner with park leadership and on-site sales teams to build, manage, and convert group pipeline.
  • Establish standardized pipeline management, forecasting, and performance reporting across parks.
  • Work closely with zoo, animal care, and education teams to enhance the education guest experience and expand program relevance.
  • Own the groups P&L including revenue targets, expense management, and contribution margin.
  • Develop annual operating budgets and multi-year growth and capital plans.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Operations, Marketing, Revenue Management, IT, and Finance to ensure executional excellence.
  • Lead, develop, and manage corporate and park-based group sales teams.
  • Prepare and present performance updates and strategic recommendations to senior leadership and the Board.
