About The Position

The Vice President, FP&A and Supply Chain Finance is the enterprise owner of financial planning, forecasting, performance management and analysis, and strategic decision support for the organization, with dual accountability for: Corporate FP&A leadership, including enterprise financial planning, forecasting, performance analysis, and CFO/Board support, and Supply Chain FP&A leadership, serving as the primary finance partner to the Chief Supply Chain Officer (CSCO) across B2B and D2C operating models and leading forecasting, budgeting, and capital investment analysis for manufacturing, logistics, sourcing, and co‑manufacturing, as applicable. This role also includes owning costing for the various facilities and warehouses (materials, labor and Overhead) and explaining variances to Plan and Prior Year This role serves as a key advisor to the CFO, CSCO and Executive Leadership Team, translating enterprise strategy and operational execution into integrated financial insight. The VP, FP&A and Supply Chain Finance ensures business leadership has a clear, consistent view of revenue, costs and capital expenditures, cashflow generation, performance indicators, risks, opportunities, and trade-offs while driving disciplined financial execution and long-term value creation. This role oversees enterprise FP&A and SC finance functions across Varsity Brands, drives best-in-class analytics, and builds a high-impact finance organization capable of supporting growth, transformation, and M&A activity.

Requirements

  • Enterprise-level strategic and financial leadership capability.
  • Exceptional executive communication skills, including Board-level presentations.
  • Proven ability to influence and partner with C-suite and senior executives.
  • Deep expertise in FP&A, supply chain finance, manufacturing economics, and distribution models.
  • Exceptional executive and Board-level communication skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and enterprise planning systems.
  • Experience with SAP and modern BI tools (Tableau, Power BI, or equivalent).
  • Ability to manage complexity, ambiguity, and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field required.
  • 15+ years of progressive finance experience.
  • 10+ years in FP&A, Supply Chain finance, or related leadership roles.
  • Demonstrated experience partnering with executive leadership and Boards.
  • Proven track record of building and leading large, high-performing finance teams.

Responsibilities

  • Enterprise Strategy & Executive Partnership Serve as primary strategic finance partner to the CFO, CSCO and the Executive Council, providing forward-looking insights and recommendations to support strategic and operational decisions.
  • Provide financial leadership on enterprise strategy, long-range planning, capital allocation, and value creation initiatives.
  • Act as the financial voice in evaluating growth opportunities, new business models, margin expansion opportunities, and operational and capital investments.
  • Support meetings with Board of Directors and investor-related materials, including long-range plans, strategic initiatives, and performance narratives.
  • Financial Planning, Forecasting & Capital Allocation and Evaluation Own the enterprise annual operating plan, long-range plan, and rolling forecast, ensuring alignment with strategic and operational priorities.
  • Lead development of consolidated forecasts for revenue, gross margin, operating expenses, capital expenditure and working capital, and cash flow.
  • Establish and govern capital allocation frameworks to prioritize investments across supply chain, commercial, and corporate initiatives.
  • Oversee financial modeling for M&A, divestitures, and major strategic investments.
  • Supply Chain Business Partnership Serve as the lead finance partner to Supply Chain leadership across manufacturing, distribution, sourcing, and logistics.
  • Provide financial leadership on: Network design and capacity planning Make vs. buy and sourcing strategies Automation and capital investment decisions B2B vs. D2C fulfillment models and service levels
  • Own financial visibility into COGS, gross margin, cost-to-serve, inventory, and working capital
  • Own costing for the various facilities and warehouses (materials, labor and Overhead) and explain variances to Plan and Prior Year for COGS items in the P&L
  • Ensure alignment between supply chain strategy and enterprise financial objectives.
  • Cost-to-Serve, Margin & Performance Management Establish enterprise and supply chain-specific performance management frameworks, including KPIs, dashboards, and executive reporting.
  • Lead monthly and quarterly executive business reviews, focusing on drivers, risks, opportunities, and corrective actions.
  • Drive margin improvement and cost optimization initiatives across supply chain and corporate functions.
  • Ensure financial insights are translated into clear, decision-ready recommendations for leadership.
  • Track execution and financial impact of strategic and operational initiatives.
  • Analytics, Systems & Process Excellence Own the FP&A systems and analytics roadmap, including SAP, BI tools, SC performance systems, ensuring scalable, automated, and reliable planning and reporting.
  • Drive standardization, automation, and scalability of planning and reporting processes.
  • Partner with IT, Accounting, Operations, and business leaders to integrate financial systems and improve enterprise visibility.
  • Ensure consistent assumptions and methodologies across corporate and supply chain planning.
  • People & Organizational Leadership Lead, develop, and inspire a best-in-class FP&A and SC Finance organization, including Directors, Managers, and Analysts.
  • Establish clear operating rhythms, accountability, and performance expectations across the FP&A and SC Finance functions.
  • Build succession plans and develop future finance leaders.
  • Foster a culture of strategic thinking, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Governance, Transformation & Special Initiatives Ensure strong financial governance, controls, and disciplined execution of planning and forecasting processes.
  • Lead financial support for major enterprise initiatives including: Supply Chain transformation and network optimization New facility start-ups or expansions Automation and digital investments M&A integration related to operations and corporate functions
  • Act as a key finance leader during periods of change, growth, or restructuring.
