About The Position

The VP, Finance role at Topgolf is a senior leadership position responsible for overseeing comprehensive financial planning and analysis across various business segments, including Venues & Toptracer FP&A, Corporate FP&A, Strategic Planning, Enterprise Financial Performance & Planning, and Sponsor & Lender Management. This role involves driving accountability, evaluating margin initiatives, leading consolidations, capital allocation, cash flow forecasting, and strategic framing. The VP will lead high-impact business cases, manage the 3-statement model, annual operating plan, and long-range forecast, and work to improve Adj. EBITDA, cash flow, and returns. Additionally, the position requires managing relationships with PE sponsors, supporting M&A and strategic transactions, and fostering team and talent development, including leveraging AI for automation and insights. The individual is expected to embody and lead Topgolf's Core Values.

Requirements

  • Deep expertise across Corporate FP&A and field/operational finance.
  • Strong command of 3-statement modeling, forecasting, and long-range planning.
  • Experience in a PE-backed, multi-unit, or high-growth environment.
  • Understands how investors think — cash, leverage, downside risk, and optionality.
  • Ability to deliver clear insights and implications at the Board level.
  • Comfortable with executive audiences and willing to push back.
  • Strategic finance capabilities: investment analysis, business case development, and M&A or transaction experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Finance.
  • 15+ Years of financial experience in an operational, strategic, and/or consulting capacity.

Responsibilities

  • Own unit economics — sales, labor, COGS, and operating expenses.
  • Partner with operations to drive accountability, evaluate margin initiatives, and ensure field leaders have clear visibility into what is working.
  • Lead consolidations, overhead planning, capital allocation, and cash flow forecasting.
  • Drive headcount governance and SG&A discipline.
  • Maintain a clear view of resource investments & returns.
  • Own Board materials and strategic framing.
  • Lead high-impact business cases across growth, transformation, and cost optimization — and ensure alignment between strategy, financial plans, and execution.
  • Own the 3-statement model, annual operating plan, and long-range forecast.
  • Identify gaps early, translate performance into clear action plans, and lead cross-functional efforts to improve Adj. EBITDA, cash flow, and returns.
  • Manage monthly and quarterly reporting cadence with PE sponsors.
  • Field and prioritize data requests from the sponsor, ensuring responses are accurate, timely, and decision-ready.
  • Support refinancing, M&A, and strategic transactions.
  • Bring rigor and urgency without slowing the business down.
  • Raise the bar on analytical rigor and business partnership.
  • Leverage AI to increase automation and insight quality.
  • Develop talent and build a bench of future finance leaders.
