VP, Enterprise Transformation & SAP

HARMAN InternationalNovi, MI
$232,500 - $341,000Hybrid

About The Position

The VP, Enterprise Transformation & SAP is a senior executive role at the center of HARMAN Automotive's transformation agenda. HARMAN Automotive is a $6+ billion business with considerable organic and inorganic growth expected over the next five years and an ambition to approximately double the business. Digital transformation, with AI as a core enabler, is a Board-level mandate and central to enabling that growth. SAP S/4HANA is a foundational core platform in HARMAN's digital automotive ecosystem. The global SAP S/4HANA transformation spans a single Automotive division instance serving approximately 10,000 users across 10 plants and more than 30 entities. Integration Testing Round 1 and Data Migration Testing Round 1 are complete. The immediate mandate is to lead the two remaining testing cycles and corresponding data-migration validation, business-readiness end-to-end testing, cutover and business continuity planning and execution, and the January 2027 go-live and stabilization. This is a multi-year mandate extending through post-go-live value realization, Finance Digital leadership, major acquisition integration, SAP RISE, and the continued evolution of SAP as a strategic enterprise platform. Reporting to the VP, Automotive Digital and serving on the Digital Automotive Leadership Council (D-ALC), this executive will be a key partner to Automotive and functional business leaders in shaping the broader Automotive Transformation agenda - influencing how processes, data, operating models, AI, and digital capabilities evolve as the business grows. The role also serves as the Digital executive leader for Finance processes. For an established SAP leader, this is an opportunity to take an advanced global transformation through its defining delivery moments and shape the next wave of business transformation, integration, and digital growth.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of experience in enterprise technology, digital transformation, or enterprise applications, including significant leadership responsibility for SAP programs and platforms.
  • Proven executive accountability for a large, complex, global SAP S/4HANA transformation spanning multiple business functions, geographies, and stakeholder groups.
  • Hands-on leadership experience through the delivery lifecycle - integrated testing, data migration, business readiness, cutover, go-live, hyper care, and stabilization.
  • Deep business and process acumen across core enterprise value streams, with the ability to challenge process design and technology decisions based on business outcomes.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence C-suite, senior Automotive business leaders, and executive peers; shape transformation priorities across organizational boundaries; make difficult readiness decisions; and lead effectively in a highly visible global program environment.
  • Proven experience leading global organizations and highly matrixed transformation programs involving hundreds of contributors across business, technology, data, program management, systems integrators, and strategic partners.
  • Demonstrated ability to connect enterprise platforms, trusted data, AI, intelligent automation, and analytics to measurable business transformation outcomes.
  • Strong commercial and financial management experience, including multi-million-dollar budgets, vendor performance, forecasting, business cases, and measurable benefits realization.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience leading SAP or enterprise-application integration for a major acquisition, merger, carve-in, or similarly complex business integration.
  • Experience in automotive, manufacturing, industrial, or another complex global product business with demanding supply-chain and operational requirements.
  • SAP architecture, program leadership, or relevant functional/technical certifications.

Responsibilities

  • Own the integrated program plan, executive governance, risk management, quality, budget, and business outcomes from the current test phase through go-live and stabilization.
  • Lead the two remaining testing cycles with clear entry and exit criteria, disciplined defect management, retesting, traceability, dependency management, and executive readiness decisions.
  • Drive subsequent data migration cycles, data quality, reconciliation, business validation, and final cutover migration readiness in close partnership with business and data owners.
  • Lead business readiness end-to-end testing across critical enterprise processes, ensuring process integration, controls, user readiness, and business sign-off before production launch.
  • Direct cutover planning and execution, including rehearsals, decision governance, business continuity planning, operational fallback scenarios, and coordinated business and technology command-center execution.
  • Lead go-live, hyper care, and stabilization with a rigorous operating cadence for incident prioritization, defect closure, performance, business adoption, and transition to a sustainable SAP platform operating model.
  • Set the SAP platform strategy and roadmap so S/4HANA becomes a scalable, resilient core for HARMAN's broader digital automotive ecosystem and future growth.
  • Champion architectural discipline, clean-core principles, integration standards, security, performance, resilience, and data governance so the platform can scale without accumulating avoidable complexity.
  • Use the standardized processes and trusted data created through S/4HANA as a foundation for the next generation of digitalization - including AI, intelligent automation, advanced analytics, and increasingly autonomous business processes - across Finance and other core Automotive value streams.
  • Own the post-go-live SAP operating model and continuous transformation roadmap, including governance, releases, platform evolution, service performance, and ongoing value realization.
  • Own the SAP and enterprise-application integration workstream for a major upcoming acquisition, from early planning through execution and transition to the target-state operating model.
  • Align process and master-data harmonization, integration design, migration and cutover planning, testing, business readiness, and stabilization for the acquired organization.
  • Partner across business value streams to manage S/4HANA integration risk while capturing scale, simplification, and synergy opportunities.
  • Define the strategy, business case, roadmap, and execution plan to transition HARMAN's SAP environment to SAP RISE, aligned to enterprise architecture, business priorities, and the broader Samsung cloud strategy.
  • Lead the technical and operational migration plan, including target architecture, landscape strategy, integrations, security, resilience, performance, data, testing, cutover, and business continuity.
  • Ensure the RISE transition improves scalability, speed, maintainability, and the ability to integrate future acquisitions and digital capabilities rather than simply moving the existing estate.
  • Serve as the Digital executive leader for Finance processes, partnering closely with CFO/Finance leadership and business process owners to define the digital strategy, investment priorities, operating model, and transformation roadmap.
