About The Position

Reinhardt University (www.reinhardt.edu) seeks an experienced enrollment expert to hold the position of Vice President for Enrollment Management & Marketing. Joining Reinhardt at this time presents an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and professional enrollment leader who will spearhead enrollment successes in traditional, adult online, and graduate populations. Under the direction of President Mark A. Roberts, Ph.D., the new VP for Enrollment Management will also have the opportunity to move the University’s vision and strategic enrollment plan forward within a marketplace that continues to benefit from regional growth. The Vice President for Enrollment Management and Marketing reports to the President and serves on the President’s Cabinet. The VPEMM oversees all units within the Office of Admissions and manages marketing and messaging strategy as it relates to enrollment. The VP must bring a deep understanding of enrollment technologies and best practices for recruitment of students to private colleges. This new executive must also have the ability to connect with a diverse population of prospective students and families, exhibit a service-orientation, and be comfortable and energized engaging with the community surrounding Reinhardt. The person holding this role must be able to lead by influence and generate a positive, team-oriented, collaborative working environment. In addition, this enrollment executive for the University must be willing to work in a highly collaborative atmosphere among fellow VPs, faculty, and middle managers where team members work together to accomplish goals and outcomes that benefit the university and its students.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree strongly preferred
  • Evidence of ten-years of experience working in higher education enrollment management offices
  • Evidence of progressively taking on more responsibility and leadership within offices of enrollment
  • Evidence of deep understanding of private college enrollment processes, scholarships, and trends
  • Evidence of leadership and management of online and graduate recruitment, admission, and registration processes
  • Experience working alongside faculty program coordinators to advance recruitment of students in online and graduate programs
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with Dean of Student Success and Dean of Students to reduce friction as student enters the college and to advance retention efforts among traditional, adult online, and graduate students
  • Demonstrated record of success in establishing and meeting enrollment goals and an evident understanding of how enrollment impacts the university budget, retention, and graduation rates
  • Knowledge of national enrollment and market trends, awareness of effective strategies and mastery of demographic information
  • Demonstrated knowledge of technologies in enrollment management and data reporting
  • Demonstrated understanding of best practices to recruit and retain online adult and graduate students
  • Ability to leverage data and metrics to inform and shape enrollment strategy on a continuous basis
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software applications
  • Ability to manage and lead staff with constructive positivity and lead team toward achievement of goals and outcomes
  • Ability to develop, plan and implement short- and long-term plans
  • Ability to prepare, analyze, evaluate, and effectively allocate budgets
  • Experience supporting and working with diverse populations

Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively and lead with influence with cabinet members to ensure a team-oriented environment prevails to meet the university’s recruitment, enrollment, and retention goals
  • Create, refine, and manage an enrollment strategic plan and operational effectiveness for new student recruitment to enroll a diversified and qualified student body for traditional on-campus programs, adult online programs, and graduate programs
  • A deep understanding of how to work with digital and print marketing to increase applications, admits, deposits, and registration of students in all populations targets consistent with Reinhardt University’s mission, vision, values, and enrollment goals
  • Articulate clear goals for staff members, monitor progress, and encourage and guide the staff as they work to achieve goals
  • Present to the president and cabinet accurate enrollment and admissions data to support enrollment strategy and predict revenue based upon enrollment
  • Hire, train, supervise, evaluate, and lead the Directors of Enrollment Management and review and sign off on all performance evaluations for staff members in these offices
  • Work collaboratively with the Director of Financial Aid, VP for Finance and Administration, Athletic Director, Dean of the School of the Arts, the Provost, and others to assure scholarships are effectively managed and communicated in a timely manner
  • Controls the departmental budget and manages implementation
  • Provide direct oversight of all strategic communication plans and strategies that impact enrollment success
  • Work collaboratively with the marketing team or vendors on print and digital communication strategies
  • Produce, analyze, and report weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual admissions data and trend analysis to inform and report on recruitment priorities and refine enrollment strategies.
  • Work collegially with faculty program directors to gain and leverage their support in the recruitment and retention process
  • Develop a highly effective scholarship process and manage distribution of aid in accord with the university’s strategic plan and budget restraints
  • Serve as main staff representative on the Academic and Enrollment Management Committee of the Board
  • Create and coordinate recruitment efforts
  • Identify areas of opportunity to improve upon weaknesses in enrollment procedures, policies, and strategies and makes recommendations to leadership
  • Pursue new learning about private college higher education trends, recruitment, admission, and enrollment technologies, and market changes
  • Remain up to date on accreditation compliance and federal regulations as it relates to enrollment, marketing, and financial aid
  • Promote teamwork, collaboration, and resource sharing across the institution
  • Ability to offer engaging presentations to prospective students and families and surrounding communities at various venues, including community chambers, college fairs, schools, churches, and on-campus visit days
  • Serve on university committees and task forces that support the broader operational strategies of the university
  • Take on leadership roles and projects as assigned by the President
