VP / Director of Software Engineering
About The Position
As the VP of Software Engineering, you will support the leadership team by providing strategic vision and direction for a dynamic, senior-level software team. Working closely with the CTO, you will be comfortable understanding architecture, project implementation, project management, and the details needed to balance the tech stack with business objectives. Our company has reinvented and created a payments engine that offers real-time payments, revenue, and engagement to our customers. Our software is unique in the marketplace, and we are experiencing exponential growth, maintaining close to 80% of the market. We are expanding the team to support our ambitions of further disrupting the payments space.
Requirements
- 4+ years of management/leadership of software development teams
- 4+ years of architectural experience (i.e., work as a visionary)
- 2+ years of previous experience in a technical development role (although this role will not be a coding role)

- Experience with Compliance and Payments
- Experience with billion-dollar payment systems
- Experience with scaling a hypergrowth company
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
- Open Source technologies (i.e., JAVA, REST, Linux)
Responsibilities
- Providing direction and support for engineering teams from a technical and tactical perspective
- Managing dynamic coders, ensuring quality and efficient delivery in a fast-paced development environment
- Being a liaison between senior level business units and engineering
- Understanding and implementing relevant compliance standards
